Supreme Court Jobs – Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualifications:

Junior Court Assistant:

• Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university in India.
• Knowledge of Computer operation with a typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in computer.

Age Limit (As on 01 September 2026): 

• The upper age limit for candidates is 30 years. (Candidates should not be below 18 years of age)

Age Relaxation:

• However, usual age relaxation will be admissible to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes (NonCreamy Layer), Physically Challenged and Ex-servicemen, as per the Government of India’s Rules.
• Relaxation up to a maximum of five years, over and above the prescribed age limit of thirty years, will be admissible to dependents of freedom fighters.
• There will be no upper age limit for the Departmental candidates of the Registry of the Supreme Court of India.
• No relaxation in age will be allowed to the candidates working in other Government Departments/Public Sector Undertakings/Nationalized Banks, etc.

• Rs. 35,400/- (Level 6)

Selection Process for SCI Careers:

• Their admission at all stages of the Examination, i.e., Objective Type Test, Typing Speed Test on Computer, Written Test (Descriptive), in English language, and interview, will be purely provisional.
• The eligible candidates are required to appear in the following Tests of the Examination:

• There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in Objective Type Test (Multiple Choice Questions).
• In case large number of candidates qualify in the Objective Type Test by securing minimum qualifying fifty (50) marks or more marks, in that event, based on the merit list, the candidates, following the ratio of 1:10 as against the number of tentative vacancies, will be shortlisted for the second stage of Examination, i.e., Typing Speed Test on Computer and Written Test (Descriptive), in English language. i.e., Typing Speed Test on Computer and Written Test (Descriptive), in English language.
• The answer sheets of Written Test (Descriptive), in English language, will be evaluated only in respect of the candidates, who successfully qualify the Typing Speed Test on Computer, since Typing Speed Test on Computer is mandatorily required to be qualified.
• The ratio of 1:3, as against the number of tentative vacancies, will be kept for interview, in respect of the candidates, who successfully qualify in all the three Tests, i.e., Objective Type Test, Typing Speed Test on Computer and Written Test (Descriptive), in English language.

• Candidates will be required to pay non-refundable Application/Test fee of Rs. 1500/- (for General/Unreserved category candidates)
• Rs. 750/- (for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-servicemen/hysically Challenged candidates)
