PGCIL Jobs โ Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification for Non-Executive Posts:
Diploma Trainee (Electrical) (DTE):
- Full Time Regular Three Years Diploma Holders in concerned discipline of engineering โ Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering (Electrical), from accredited Technical Board/Institute with minimum 70% marks for General/ OBC (NCL)/ EWS Candidates and pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD.
- Higher technical qualification like B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME etc. with or without Diploma is not allowed.
Diploma Trainee (Civil) (DTC):
- Full Time Regular Three Years Diploma in Civil Engineering from accredited Technical Board/Institute with minimum 70% marks for General/ OBC (NCL)/ EWS Candidates and pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD.
- Higher technical qualification like B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME etc. with or without Diploma is not allowed.
Diploma Trainee (Survey) (DTS):
- Full-Time Regular Three Years Diploma Holders in Survey Engineering OR
- Diploma in Civil Engineering (with survey as a subject) from accredited Technical Board / Institute having minimum 70% marks.
- Higher technical qualification like B.E./B.Tech etc. with or without Diploma, is not allowed either at the time of application or at the time of joining.
Junior Officer Trainee (HR) JOT (HR):
- Three years full time Graduate Regular Degree โ Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)/ BBM/ BBS or equivalent qualification from accredited Institute/ University with not less than Sixty Percentage marks for General/ EWS/ OBC (NCL) category candidates.
- Candidates with Post Graduate Degree/Diploma or equivalent^ higher education qualification shall not be allowed to apply for the said post
Junior Officer Trainee (F&A) JOT (F&A):
- Inter CA/ Inter CMA
- Candidates with Post Graduate Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Chartered Accountant (CA) / CMA or equivalent higher education qualification shall not be allowed to apply for the said post.
Junior Technician Trainee (Survey) JTT(Survey):
- Full-Time Regular Two Years ITI (Surveyor) from a accredited Technical Board/ Institute. (Qualification should be accredited in India and from Govt approved ITIs. / National Council for Vocationalย ย Educationย and Training/ State Council for Vocational Training)
- Higher technical qualification like Diploma/B.E./B. Tech etc. with or without ITI, is not allowed either at the time of application or at the time of joining.

Selection Process Powergrid Careers:
- The selection process shall consist of Written Test / Computer Based Test (CBT) of eligible candidates, Computer Skill Test (CST) / Trade Test (wherever applicable) & Pre-Employment Medical Examination.
- DTE/ DTC/DTS โ Written Test / Computer Based Test (100% weightage)
- JOT โ (HR)/(F&A) โ Written Test / Computer Based Test (100% weightage) followed by Computer Skill Test which is qualifying in nature.
- JTT (Survey) โ Written Test / Computer Based Test (100% weightage) followed by Trade Test which is qualifying in nature.
Written Test/Computer-Based Test (CBT):
- Test Duration โ 2 hrs. (Compensatory time allowed to PwD/ PwBD candidates as per GOI directives)
- Objective Type. Each question shall have four answer options.
- Part I: 120 Questions [TKT/PKT]
- Part-II: 50 Questions [Aptitude Test (AT)]
- Total: 170 Questions
- All questions carry equal marks (1 mark)
- Wrong and multiple answers would result in negative marks
of ยผ per answer.
Computer Skill Test (CST):
- Computer Skill Test (CST) (wherever applicable) will be Qualifying in nature and Qualifying marks in test shall be 50% for Unreserved/ EWS and 40% for reserved category candidates subject to reservation of the post in respective Region.
Trade Test:
- Trade Test (wherever applicable) will be Qualifying in nature and Qualifying marks in test shall be 40% for Unreserved/ EWS and 30% for reserved category candidates, subject to reservation of the post in the respective Region.
Application Fee:
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.
- For the Posts of DTE/DTC/ DTS/JOT (HR)/JOT (F&A):ย Rs. 300/-
- For the Post of JTT(Survey): Rs. 200/-
