THSTI Recruitment 2024: The Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) has announced notification for the Project Research Scientist-II/Multi-Tasking Staff/Field Worker/Lab Technician posts. Detailed Eligibility – THSTI Careers:
Educational Qualifications:
Project Title: Platform for enhanced pathogen detection for meningitis and sepsis: Rapid, portable, and field-deployable diagnostics
Project Research Scientist-II:
Essential:
- First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degree in Material Sciences, Medical Devices, Nanotechnology, Engineering, Nanobiotechnology, or equivalent from a recognized university with three (3) of postqualification experience in the relevant field. OR
- PhD degree in Nanotechnology, Engineering, Medical Devices, Nanobiotechnology, or equivalent from a recognized university OR
- Second Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degree with PhD in Nanotechnology, Engineering, Medical Devices, Nanobiotechnology, or equivalent from a recognized university with three (3) of postqualification experience in the relevant field.
Desirable:
- Experience in electrochemical fabrication specifically for improving detection sensitivity.
- Familiarity with designing lateral flow assays.
- Experience in applying synthesized nanomaterials to enhance detection or sensing capabilities.
- Experience in the design and integration of microfluidic systems for innovative diagnostic applications.
Project Title: Equity and financial household impact in randomized controlled trials, implementation research and cohort studies in India (EQUIFINANCE)
Multi-Tasking Staff: 12th from a recognized university with atleast one year of postqualification experience
Desirable:
- Basic knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Basic computer knowledge (preferred).
Project Title: Effects of extreme heat on maternal, placental and fetal physiology, lactation and newborn health in India
Field Worker:
- Graduation in any branch of Life Sciences with atleast two (2) years’ of post-qualification experience. OR
- DMLT from a recognized University with minimum three (3) years of post-qualification work experience.
Desirable:
- Experience in clinical research.
- Well-versed in Good Clinical Practice [GCP].
- Experience in using and maintaining digital data via collection devices.
- Basic knowledge of Excel
- Valid driver’s license Own conveyance/ 2-wheeler
Lab Technician:
- B.Sc/BMLT from a recognized university with one (1) year of post-qualification experience. OR
- Three years DMLT from a recognized Institute/University with one (1) year of post-qualification experience in the research lab.
Desirable:
- Experience in clinical research
- Well-versed in Good lab practices.
Upper Age Limit (As on 22 October 2024):
- Project Research Scientist-II: 40 years
- Multi-Tasking Staff: 25 years
- Field Worker: 50 years
- Lab Technician: 50 years
Age Relaxation of THSTI Vacancy: Age and other relaxations for direct recruits, departmental candidates, and THSTI employees :
- By five years for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities.
- By three years for candidates belonging to OBC communities.
- For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) falling under the following categories:
- UR – ten years
- OBC – 13 years
- SC/ST – 15
- Age is relaxable for Central Government servants up to five years by the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government, from time to time.
