Educational Qualification:

  • The minimum educational qualification for designated Trades should be 10th pass with a minimum of 50% marks in Std 10 examination along with ITI examination passed in relevant trade with aggregate of 65% marks.
  • Further, the candidate should have passed the relevant ITI / trade test from any institute recognized by NCVT
  • Qualification for candidates who are to be enrolled for Rigger and Crane Operator (Overhead Steel Industry) as Fresher should pass 8th std, without ITI

Join Indian Navy Selection Process for Sailors:

The Selection is based on State wise merit of their performance in Computer-based Examination, subject to qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in Medical Examinations.

For Computer-based Examination:

  • The total number of questions is 50, each carrying one marks.
  • The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type (multiple choice).
  • It comprises of two sections. Science & Mathematics and General Knowledge.
  • Duration of examination will be 30 minutes

Note: There will be Negative Marking for wrong answers, For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

For Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

  • Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection.
  • PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups.
