Educational Qualifications for Steel Authority of India Recruitment:
Proficiency Trainee (Nurse):
- Pass in B.Sc. (Nursing)/Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery
- Internship Certificate (if applicable)
- Certificate of Registration
Departments/Disciplines: ICU/NICU/BICU, Medicine, Surgery, Obs. & Gyn, Paediatrics, Casualty, Orthopaedics, COVID, Chest & other allied areas.
Tenure of Engagement: 18 (eighteen) months
Age Limit: 30 years
Age Relaxation: Relaxation in Upper age limit by 3 years for Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer-OBC-NCL and 5 years for SC & ST candidates.
Stipend Details:
- Rs.10000/-plus
- Knowledge Enhancement Allowance per month (Maximum upto Rs.7020/- linked to attendance as under)

Selection Process for SAIL Careers:
- Selection for ‘Proficiency Training’ will be done by judging their performance through interview only.
- However, maximum of 70 initially screened candidates, chosen on first-cum-first-serve basis, will be interviewed each day.
- In case of tie in final cut off score, candidate(s) with higher percentage of marks in aggregate of qualifying qualification (B.Sc. / Diploma in Nursing) shall be selected.
