NDDB Jobs – Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification:
Trainee (R&D Laboratory):
- Post-Graduation (M.Sc. /M. Tech.) in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding in laboratory techniques viz., bacterial culture, nucleic acid extraction, PCR, qPCR, ELISA, cell culture
- Basic understanding in biochemistry; calculations for the preparation of buffers and reagents
- Good communication and writing skill
- Competent in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power point)
- Align to the organizational goals, values & requirements
- Candidate should be able to work effectively in a team
- Timely and effectively plan, schedule and execute work assigned
- Strong aptitude for learning and research
- Should be self-motivated, dedicated and hardworking
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Immuno assays such as ELISA, ELISPOT
- Processing bovine clinical specimens for the detection and/or isolation of bacteria and viruses
- Molecular extractions (DNA, RNA, proteins)
- Molecular assays- PCR, real-time PCR
- Cell culture and cell based assays
- Nucleotide sequencing work: Sanger sequencing, Next generation sequencing
- Standardization and validation of new methodologies/ assays
- Documentation and record keeping of quality management systems as per international standards (ISO 9001:2015 & ISO/IEC 17025:2017)
- Any other scientific, technical and documentation assistance
Profile Summary: To provide technical assistance in laboratory activities for bovine disease research and diagnosis
