Detailed Eligibility -Indian Navy Jobs:

Educational Qualification:

Executive & Technical Branch:

  • Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examination from any Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

Who can apply? Applicants who have appeared for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Main) 2024 exam (for B.E/ B. Tech). Call-ups for the Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2024 published by NTA.

Training: Selected candidates will be inducted as Cadets for the four years B. Tech Course in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electronics Communication Engineering a pr Naval equipment. On completion of the course, B. Tech Degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Distribution of cadets amongst the Executive and Technical Branch (Engineering & Electrical) will be as per the extant policy.

Tenure of Commission: Selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission Initially for ten years, extendable by a maximum of 04 years in 02 terms (02 years + 02years), Subject to service requirements, performance, medical eligibility and willingness of the candidate.

Probation Period:



  • The probation period for SSC (NAIC) Officers is three years, and for officers of other branches/cadres Is two years. The probation period will commence of grant of the rank of Sub Lt and terminate after three years for SSC(NAIC) and two years for other branches/cadres or on completion of Initial training (whichever is later).

  • The university should be incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities/ Autonomous Universities under UGC, Act 1956; IIT Act, 1961; AICTE Act, 1987; NITSER Act, 2007; IIIT Act, 2014.
