NIOH Recruitment 2024 – The National Institute of Occupational Health has announced notification for Upper Division Clerk/Lower Division Clerk posts. There are five openings for these posts. ICMR-National Institute of Occupational Health Ahmedabad is the premier institute under the aegis of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) under the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. Invites online applications from eligible candidates for regular Upper Division Clerk/Lower Division Clerk posts. The age limit for these posts will be 18 to 27 years. the selected candidates will be paid Rs. 19,900/- to 81,100/-. The selection process will be based on written and skill/typing tests. The probation period for these jobs will be two years from the date of joining. The job location for UDC/LDC will be at ICMR-NIOH Ahmedabad. Detailed Eligibility Criteria for NIOH Careers:
Educational Qualifications:
Upper Division Clerk(UDC):
- Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
- Typing speeds of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on the computer (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions on each word).
Lower Division Clerk(LDC):
- 12th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.
- Typing speeds of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on the computer (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions on each word).
Probation:
- The probation period will be two years for all the posts from joining.
- Other terms and conditions regarding probation will be as per the rules of ICMR/GOI and will be issued occasionally.
Age Limit(As on 18 April 2024): Between 18 to 27 years
Age Relaxation: Relaxation of the age limit would be permissible to persons with a minimum of 40% disability.
Salary:
- Upper Divison Clerk – Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500 – 81,100)
- Lower Division Clerk – Pay Level-2 (Rs 19,900 – 63,200)

Selection Process of ICMR NIOH Recruitment:
- The selection process will be based on written and skill/typing tests.
- Candidates securing qualifying marks in written tests shall be called for skill/typing tests.
- The candidate securing the highest marks in the written examination and skill test will be selected in order of merit as per DoPT guidelines and will be subject to fulfilling all the eligibility criteria.
Written Test:
- The written test would have 100 marks consisting of 100 objective/MCQ-type questions of one mark each for the correct answer.
- For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
- All written tests shall be conducted only at Ahmedabad & Gandhinagar.
- The syllabus for the written test shall be published separately.
Note:
- Top 20 candidates, as per merit list of the written test, shall be called first.
- In case, none of top 20 qualify skill test then next 20 candidates as per merit shall be called.
- The date, time and venue of the written test will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates through call letters/admit cards and no enquiry/request in this regard will be entertained
Application Fee:
- Rs. 1000/- for UR/OBC/EWS Male candidates
- Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PwD/Women
