Specialist Grade III (Endocrinology):

Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil):

  • Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent*. *AMIE (Section A &B) of the Institute of Engineers (India) (Civil).
  • Experience: Two years experience in a supervisory capacity in the design, maintenance and construction of structural and reinforced concrete works.
  • Desirable: Experience in General Administration, Maintenance and Operation of Lighthouses and other aids of Marine Navigation

Specialist Grade III (Medical Gastroenterology):

Age Limit for UPSC Jobs: 

  • Assistant Director (Cost): 35 years for URs/EWSs, 38 years for OBCs, 40 years for SCs/STs and 45 years for PwBDs
  • Specialist Grade III (Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery): 40 years for URs, 43 years for OBCs and 45 years for SCs.

Age Relaxation:

  • The age limit shown against all items is the normal age limit, and the age is relaxable for SC/ST candidates up to 5 years and up to 3 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them.
  • SC/ST/OBC candidates must produce a caste certificate in the prescribed proforma.
  • Age relaxation of 10 years (This implies that SC/ST category candidates would get a maximum of 15 years of age relaxation, including five years for their respective categories.
  • Similarly, OBC candidates would get a maximum of up to 13 years, including three years of age relaxation meant for the OBC category)
  • The upper age limit is relaxable for the Central/U.T. Government.
  • In the case of Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officers, including ECOs/SSCOs, the upper age limit shall be relaxed by five years.
  • Servants up to 5 years as per instructions issued by the Government. Of India from time to time.
  • This implies that SC/ST category candidates would get a maximum of 10 years of age relaxation, including five years for their respective categories.
  • Similarly, OBC candidates would get a maximum of up to 8 years, including three years of age relaxation for the OBC category.
  • This relaxation will be admissible to Government servants with three years of continuous service in the Central Government.

Selection Process for UPSC Jobs:

  • Candidates will be short-listed for interviews based on the information they provided in their online applications.
  • Documents submitted in support of the claim made in the online application will be examined only if the candidate is prima facie eligible to be shortlisted based on information regarding qualifications and experience claimed in the online application, various reports as per the advertisement and modalities and criteria adopted for shortlisting.
  • Candidates must ensure that such information is true.
  • The category-wise minimum level of suitability in interviews, irrespective of whether the selection is made only by interview or by Recruitment Test followed by interview, will be UR/EWS-50 marks, OBC-45 marks, SC/ST/PwBD-40 marks, out of the total marks of interview being 100.
  • In cases where selection is made by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by an interview, the candidate will have to achieve a minimum level of suitability in their respective category at the Interview stage.

Note:

  • In the event of a large number of applications being large, the commission will adopt short-listing criteria to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number by any or more of the following methods:
  • Based on Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any DQs if more than one DQ is prescribed”.

Desirable: 

  • Research and Development experience in testing and evaluation techniques/ Non Destructive Testing techniques, material science, quality control, standardization and calibration. (ii)
  • Specialized knowledge of modern methods of testing soil for engineering purposes/ refractory materials/ heat insulating materials/cement/ timber etc.

Administrative Officer Grade-I:

  • Degree of a recognized University or Institute
  • Three years of experience in a supervisory capacity of Administration, Accounts and Establishment work in a Government office or Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous body or Statutory body

Scientist – ‘B’:

  • Master’s Degree in Zoology from a recognized University.
  • Three Years experience in research and technique in the field of Zoology from the Central or State or Union territory Government/ Autonomous Body or Statutory Organizations or Public Sector Undertakings or University or Recognized Research Institutes.
  • Desirable:  Doctorate degree in Zoology from a recognized University or Institute.

Specialist Grade III (Urology):

Engineer & Ship Surveyorcum-Deputy Director General (Technical):

  • Certificate of competency of Marine Engineer Officer Class-I (Steam or Motor or Combined Steam and Motor) as specified in section 78 of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958) or equivalent as specified in section 86 of the said Act.
  • Five Years service at Sea of which One year service as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer
  • Desirable:  One year experience in Survey and Inspection of Merchant ship and One year experience in Survey, inspection and examination of merchant ship

Specialist Grade III (Neuro- Surgery):

  • A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Selection Process for UPSC Jobs:

  • Candidates will be short-listed for interviews based on the information they provided in their online applications.
  • Documents submitted in support of the claim made in the online application will be examined only if the candidate is prima facie eligible to be shortlisted based on information regarding qualifications and experience claimed in the online application, various reports as per the advertisement and modalities and criteria adopted for shortlisting.
  • Candidates must ensure that such information is true.
  • The category-wise minimum level of suitability in interviews, irrespective of whether the selection is made only by interview or by Recruitment Test followed by interview, will be UR/EWS-50 marks, OBC-45 marks, SC/ST/PwBD-40 marks, out of the total marks of interview being 100.
  • In cases where selection is made by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by an interview, the candidate will have to achieve a minimum level of suitability in their respective category at the Interview stage.

Note:

  • In the event of a large number of applications being large, the commission will adopt short-listing criteria to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number by any or more of the following methods:
  • “Based on Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any DQs if more than one DQ is prescribed”.
  • Based on higher educational qualifications than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
  • Based on higher experience in the relevant field than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
  • By counting experience before or after the acquisition of essential qualifications.
  • By invoking experience even in cases where no experience is mentioned as an Essential Qualification (EQ) or a Desirable Qualification (DQ).
  • By holding a Recruitment Test.
  • Generally, weightage in the ratio of 75:25 is accorded for marks in the Recruitment Test and marks in the interview in determining final merit.
