Senior Research Fellow:

• M.Sc./M.Tech in Bioinformatics /Computational Biology/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry &Molecular Biology or any branch of Life Sciences with
  Two years of research experience. (OR)
• Graduate/Post graduate degree in relevant professional subjects with two years of research experience.
• Candidates should also have ICMR-JRF / CSIR- NET/Lectureship, GATE or any other national-level eligibility examinations conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, ISER etc.

Educational Qualification:

Project Title: Positive Deviance to Enhance Accessibility to Community-Based Stigma-Free Treatment for Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders in Public Health Facilities in Puducherry District, funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)

Research Associate (Project Technical Support – II):

• P.G. in Social Work/ Sociology/ Psychology/ or allied subjects with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade from a UGC recognized University Principal Investigator OR
• U.G. in Social Work/ Sociology/ Psychology/ or allied subjects with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade from a UGC recognized University AND Three (3) years of work experience in the social sector/ development organizations/ public health/ social research.
• Desirable qualification: Experience in social work/ public health/ counselling interventions in the areas of drug demand reduction/ substance abuse prevention and treatment is preferred. Experience in managing social research projects and data analysis tools will be preferred

Tenure: 03 Years or completion of the project, whichever is earlier. The tenure of the appointed personnel in this project is co-terminus with the project. The position will be initially offered for One Year and will be extended further based on performance

Job Description: The Research Associate will assist the Pl and Co-PI in the execution of the above project including drafting plans of action for project activities, securing permissions from relevant public health
authorities, organizing community-based events, data collection through surveys, focused-group discussions and interviews, data analysis, report writing and documentation, and project management.
