Educational Qualifications:
Name of the project: ICMR Centre for Outbreak Science (ICOS)
Consultant Scientific – Medical (Epidemiology):
- MD (Community Medicine/PSM) OR
- DNB (Epidemiology) OR
- Master’s degree in Epidemiology/Public health after MBBS from a recognized University/ Institute.
- Desirable Qualification:
- PhD in Public health/Community Medicine/ Preventive and Social medicine/ Epidemiology from a recognized University/ Institute
- Experience in infectious disease epidemiology and outbreak investigations, including research and public health response
- Research experience and Published papers
- Knowledge of Computer applications and statistical Packages
- Published papers
Name of the project: Health worker-led salt reduction counseling for reducing Blood pressure among individuals with hypertension at Health & Wellness Centers in two India states, 2023-2026.
Consultant (Scientific- Medical):
- Post-graduation in Community Medicine/Public health/ Epidemiology after Bachelor’s degree in medical sciences (MBBS/BDS /BAMS/BHMS) or similar degree from the recognized university/ institute.
- Desirable Qualification:
- Experience in working in public health research
- Experience in working in implementation research
- Working knowledge of Statistical Packages (Epi Info/SPSS, Stata, R+, etc.)
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office tools
- Publications in peer- reviewed journals
- Able to speak in Telugu and Hindi
Consultant (Scientific-Non-medical):
- M.Sc. Epidemiology/ Biostatistics/ Statistics from a recognized university with research and development experience in a related field.
- Publications in peer- reviewed journals.
- Desirable Qualification:
- Experience in working in implementation research
- Working knowledge of Statistical Packages (Epi Info/SPSS, Stata, R+, etc.)
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office tools

Duration:
- Consultant Scientific – Medical (Epidemiology): Till 29 October 2024. (Extension for one more year may be considered on case to case basis, depending upon the project requirement subject to fulfillment of performance evaluation made by Controlling Officer)
