Educational Qualification:
Research Area: Computational and mathematical modelling for intracellular organization
Research Associate-I:
- A candidate should have a first or high-second-class M.Sc. degree in Physics with a minimum average of 55% marks in B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. examination along with a good overall academic record and has obtained a PhD, with research experience supported by publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals in the field of theoretical and computational biophysics and statistical mechanics.
- Candidate must be an expert in writing computer programs, preferably in C, or C++.
- Preference will be given to candidates having experience in modelling intracellular processes and active systems.
- Note that this project is purely theoretical and computational.
Tenure: One year from the date of joining as RA-I, extendable to a second year, subject to an evaluation after one year and availability of funds as per the rules of the Institute.
Age Limit (As on 10 January 2025): 35 years
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation may also be given to outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience
Remuneration: Rs. 58,000/- + HRA per month

Selection Process of IACS Careers:
- The selection process will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview.
- Shortlisted candidates will be intimated about the interview date and venue by email.
- Self-attested scanned copies of all the certificates/credentials must be submitted and the original certificates/credentials must be presented for verification while appearing for the interview.
- Interview via video-based facility such as Zoom/Google Meet, however, is permissible subject to the availability of requisite connections.
