Detailed Eligibility – Government Jobs in Haryana:
Educational Qualification:
Constable (Police department)/Male Constable (Mounted Armed Police):
- The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized education Board/Institution.
- Matric with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects.
- No extra weightage will be given to the candidate for higher education.
Age Limit( As on September 2024) – HSSC Careers:
- Constable: 18 – 25 Years
Age Relaxation:
- For Ex-servicemen-The break in service between the date of discharge and between the 1st day of the month (i.e. 01.09.2024) in which the enrolment process is started shall not exceed four years as per rule 12.24 (1) (c) of Punjab Police Rules,1934.
- For the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Backward Class, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories relaxation in upper age limit of 5 years shall be given as per Government Instruction issued from time to time

Selection Process of HSSC Careers:
Qualifying Tests:
- Haryana Staff Selection Commission shall invite an adequate number of candidates based on merit obtained by them in the Common Eligibility Test (CET), for the Physical Measurement Test and then for the Physical Screening Test, both of which shall be of a qualifying nature only.
- The Haryana Staff Selection Commission may do so in such number of batches as it deems necessary so as to shortlist qualified candidates equal to four times the number of advertised post of each category for the Knowledge Test
Physical Measurement Test (PMT):
- The candidates who fail to meet the Standards prescribed for Physical Measurement Test shall stand eliminated from further selection process.
- Only the candidates who qualify the standards prescribed for Physical Measurement Test shall participate in the further selection process.
Physical Screening Test (PST):
- The Candidates who have qualified for the Physical Measurement Test shall further appear in the Physical Screening Test (PST) to judge their physical fitness and endurance. Only the candidates who meet the standards prescribed for the Physical Screening Test shall be allowed to participate in the further selection process.
Knowledge Test (94.5% weightage):
- All candidates shall have to undergo a knowledge test of ninety-four point five per cent (94.5%) weightage comprising of objective type, multiple choice questions. Each question will carry equal marks.
Additional Weightage (maximum 03 marks):
- NCC certificate: Candidates with an NCC certificate of A, B, or C level shall get 01, 02, and 03 marks respectively (for constables).
