Detailed Eligibility for CSIR CSMCRI Recruitment:
Educational Qualification:
Project Title: Scale-up of Indigenous membrane/modules and pilot plant for water softening and wastewater treatment
Project Associate I:
- Essential: M. Sc. in Chemistry, B. Tech/ B.E. in Chemical Engineering, B. Tech/ B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
- Desirable:
- Candidates with an M. Sc. in Chemistry and experience in polymeric membrane synthesis and characterization are desirable.
- Candidates with M. Tech/ M. E. will be preferred.
- The candidate will be working on polymeric membrane synthesis, characterization, process development and demonstration of the processes
Project Assistant/Technical Assistant:
- Essential: B. Sc./ 3 Years Diploma in Engineering and Technology
- Desirable: The candidate will work on polymeric membrane synthesis, characterization, development, and demonstration of the processes.
Duration:
- These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- The engagement of project staff in different projects either in the CSIR – Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or a different Lab./ Institute of CSIR taken together shall not exceed five years.
Age limit (As on 14 May 2024):
- Project Associate I: 35 years
- Project Assistant/Technical Assistant: 50 years

Salary Details:
- Project Associate I:
- Rs. 31000/- pm + HRA to scholars who are selected through the National eligibility test CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE [or] selection process through National Level Examinations conducted by central Government department and their agencies and institutions
- Rs. 25000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under the above category
- Project Assistant/Technical Assistant: Rs. 20,000/- pm + HRA
Selection Process for CSMCRI Bhavnagar Recruitment:
- The selection process will be based on an Interview.
- Only short-listed candidates will be asked to attend the interview using a hybrid mode (online and walk-in- Interview) decided by the institute.

- Graduate/Post Graduate in Civil Engineering and selected through a process described through any one of the following
- Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
- The selection process through National level examinations conducted by the Central Government
Desirable:
- Graduate/Post Graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent, B.E./B. Tech./M.E / M.Tech. Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent with GATE/ National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship).
Post Duration:
- This post is purely temporary for the period of one year.
- The post is extendable up to 08/06/2025 as per the performance of the candidate.
Project Duration:
- These posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- The engagement of project staff in different projects either in the CSIR – Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 5 years in any case.
