Skills:

Working knowledge of Linux & RTOS programming
Experience in embedded programming C,C++
Experience with device drivers, Kernel programming
Sound understanding of Operating Systems, Data Structures, Algorithms, Object Oriented Programming and design patterns.

What you’ll do:

Understand product requirements, design and develop code , module level and system level embedded software design/coding, validation using programming languages like C & C++ on embedded systems running for Linux platforms for Circuit Protection products (Switchgears/Relays/Meters etc.).
Involve in technical design including architectural and more detailed object-oriented design.
Providing project, process, and technical leadership on project activities & should contribute to product development & technology innovations.
Provide overall technical leadership for Product development. Lead in technical aspects of agile development planning efforts.
Engages in the development and testing of electrical, embedded products using programming languages like Assembly, C & C++ with embedded systems running on Linux platforms.
Handle build management, change and configuration management tools like JIRA/bamboo/TFS/VS/GIT/Stash/Clear Case/Clear Quest/DOORS etc.
Suggest and develop reusable components and looks for continuous improvement opportunities in industrial control & protection products. Share knowledge within the team and demonstrate flexibility working in parallel on multiple assignments/product categories.
Physical (Memory, processor utilization) resource budgeting experience.
Develops an understanding of both technology and product concepts and can articulate product and software design.
Ensures quality of delivery by the plan adhering to the standard practices used in the agile/waterfall model.

Associate Engineer – Mechanical:

B.E/B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering
Min 0 – 1 years experience in Sustaining- mechanical product
Communication skills, Multitasking, Drive for result, Accountability, Innovation, Leadership Attributes, Efficient

Skills:

Experience in sheet metal part design.
Awareness of plastic parts, sheet metal manufacturing processes.
Experience in working with manufacturing, quality, operstions teams to resolve their issues is an added advantage
Hands on experience on any CAD software, should have worked on parametric modeling, drawing detailing & Assembly build up (Solidworks & AutoCAD software experience will be an advantage).
Understanding of any Product lifecycle management tool like Enovia, SAP etc. ( Enovia exp. is desirable)
Understanding of GD&T principles & its application’s
Familiar with Tolerance stack up analysis.
Experience in Sustaining engineering is desirable (i.e. execution of ECN/ECR) and should have an understanding of the PLM lifecycle.
Concept building & Design thinking(Understanding of Six Sigma methodologies and Continuous improvement tools is a plus)
Understaning of Strength of Materials and strong mechanical basics.

What you’ll do: Primary responsibility of this role is to provide sustaining support to GEIS plants, resolve technical queries and execute Engineering Change Requests. It also requires to have strong communication skills, drive, strong engineering acumen with enthusiasm in the product sustaining arena.

Provide plant support to resolve plant issues including quality, manufacturing, tooling issues.
Resolve technical queries from plant , sales and supply chain.

Support product development / VAVE by developing mechanical CAD drawings + 3D models of electrical and mechanical components & capturing cost saving opportunities through sustaining projects.
