Detailed Eligibility – BHU Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Junior Clerk:
- Second Class Graduate with at least six months of training on the use of Computers for Office Automation, Book keeping and word processing from a certified Institution or
- Second Class Graduate witha Diploma in Computer recognized by AICTE.
Computer Typing Test (Skill Test):
- Computer Typing Test shall be conducted will only be of a qualifying nature.
- A typing speed of 30 words/minute for English OR 25 words/minute for Hindi is required to qualify for the Computer Typing Test.
Age Limit:
- 18-30 years for the general category
- 18-35 years for SC/ST
- 18-33 for OBC
- 18-35 years for widows/divorced and women judicially separated from their husbands and not remarried (40 years for SC/ST)

Selection Process of BHU Jobs:
- The University shall conduct a written test. Further, a Computer Proficiency Test is followed by a skill test to assess the knowledge of using Computers, MS Office, and similar tools required for day-to-day official uses. i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, and Word viz. create and format presentations, creation and formatting of Table/Graphs, paragraphs, alignment, font size, font type, indentation, uppercase to lowercase/lowercase to upper case, sentence case, insert a page number, pictures, shapes, hyper-link etc. shall also be conducted.
- Computer Proficiency Tests and Skill Tests will be conducted only for candidates shortlisted based on their performance in the Written Test.
- Additionally, if require, the university may conduct multiple skill tests, thereby ensuring a comprehensive and multifaceted assessment of the candidate’s capabilities
- Short-listed candidates for each post will be called to verify the original documents.
Application Fees Mode:
- Rs. 500/- by the UR, EWS and OBC candidates.
- No application fees shall be charged to candidates in SC, ST, PwBDs categories, or women candidates.
