Educational Qualification(As on 01 June 2024):
Specialist Officers (Company Secretary):
- Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI)
- Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to candidates with additional Qualification of LLB/CA/ICWA
Experience:
- MMG Scale II: Minimum two years of experience after obtaining membership in ICSI in a listed company.
- MMG Scale III: Minimum five years experience after obtaining membership of ICSI in a listed Company
- Proficiency in MS Office suite will be an added advantage.
Age Limit(As on 01 June 2024):
Age Relaxation:
- Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates 5 years
- Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy layer) candidates 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities 10 years

Selection Process Canara Bank Careers:
- The selection shall be made through an online test and interview.
- The online test will only be for shortlisting candidates.
- A suitable number of candidates from the list of successful candidates in the Online Test in the order of merit will be shortlisted for interview.

- The bank will decide the minimum cut-off marks for each subject and the Total Score.
- Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each subject and also a minimum total score as decided by the Bank to be considered for the Interview.
Penalty for Wrong Answers:
- There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at a corrected score.
- If a question is left blank, i.e. the candidate does not answer, there will be no penalty for that question.
