Educational Qualification – BHEL Careers for Freshers:
Trade Apprentices:
- High School Pass and ITI Pass as a Regular Full Time candidate of the last Three Years from an NCVT-recognised institute. For all Trades NCVT certificate is required.
- Candidates who have completed their Full-Time ITI course in the year 2023, 2024 & 2025 will only be eligible for applying in apprenticeship Training in 2025.
- Candidates who have completed through Distance Learning/Part Time/Correspondence/Sandwich courses shall not be considered for apprenticeship training in BHEL.

- Welder – G&E / TIG & MIG / Pipe & Pressure Vessel/ Structural / Advance

Technician Apprentices:
- Pass in High School and Pass in Diploma in Engineering or Technology as a Regular Full Time candidate in the last three years i.e., 2023, 2024 & 2025 from Govt. recognised Institute will be eligible for applying in apprenticeship training in 2025.
- As specified above, with a minimum 60% marks for UR/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates and a minimum of 50% marks for SC/ST Candidates, from a Government-recognised Institution/University.
- Candidates who have completed their Diploma in Engineering or Technology through Distance Learning/Part Time/Correspondence/Sandwich courses shall not be considered for apprenticeship training in BHEL.

Duration of Training: The duration of Apprenticeship Training will be for a period of one year from the date of joining as per the Apprentices Act, 1961.
Age Limit (As on 01 November 2025): Minimum 18 and Maximum 27 years
Age Relaxation:
- A relaxation of 5 years is admissible to SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates in the upper age-limit.
- In the case of Persons with Disabilities (PwD) (with minimum 40% disability), a relaxation of 10 years is admissible in the upper age-limit.
