- Senior Secondary (Class XII or its equivalent) from a recognized board with at least 45% marks by the National Council for Teachers Education (Form of application for recognition, the HT€ limit of application submission, determination of norms and standards. for recognition of teacher education programmes and permission to start new courses or training) Regulations, 2002, notified on 13.11.2002.
- And Diploma in Nursery Teacher Education/Pre-School Education/Early Childhood Education Programme (D.E.C.Ed.) of duration of not less than one year, or
B.Ed. (Nursery) from the National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution. [or] - Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. [or]
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.ELEd.).
