DIAT Recruitment 2025: The Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) has announced a notification for the Junior Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow post. There are three vacancies available for this post. Candidates with B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/M.Sc qualifications are eligible for this job. Detailed Eligibility – DIAT Careers:
Education Qualification:
Junior Research Fellow:
JRF -1:
- BE/B.Tech/in CSE/ ECE/ IT/ Robotics/Mechanical/ Equivalent or M.Sc in Maths/CS/ Data Science/ Statistics/ Equivalent in First Division with NET/GATE OR ME/M.Tech/in CSE/ ECE/ IT/ Robotics/ Mechanical/ Equivalent with First Division both at Graduate & Post Graduate level.
JRF -2:
- BE/B.Tech/ M.Sc. in Marine Biology/ Marine Engg. /Ocean Engg/ Equivalent in First Division with NET/GATE OR ME/M.Tech in Marine Biology/ Marine Engg. /Ocean Engg/ Equivalent with First Division both at Graduate & Post Graduate level.
- Desirable: Proficiency in any computer programming language like Python and C++ .
- Knowledge of AI/data analytics and visualisation.
Senior Research Fellow:
- BE/B.Tech/in CSE/ ECE/ IT/ Robotics/Mechanical/ Equivalent or M.Sc in Maths/ CS/ Data Science/ Statistics/ Equivalent in First Division with NET/GATE OR ME/M.Tech/in CSE/ECE/ IT/ Robotics/ Mechanical/ Equivalent with First Division both at Graduate & Post Graduate level.
- Experience: A minimum 02 years of research/ teaching/ industrial experience in the relevant fields is mandatory Desirable: Good
publication/patents/reputed AI-related hackathon or competition winners etc
Age Limit(As on 07 August 2025):
- Junior Research Fellow: Not exceeding 28 Years
- Senior Research Fellow: Not exceeding 32 Years
Age Relaxation:
- Upper age limit is relaxable up to 05 years for SC/ST, Women & PwBD and 03 years for OBC (NCL) candidates.
Salary:
- Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA 30%
- Senior Research Fellow: Rs. 42,000/- + HRA 30%

Selection Process of DIAT Careers:
- The mode of interview will be “in-person” or “via video conferencing” and whichever is suitable to DIAT and shall be intimated to the shortlisted candidates.
- Based on the suitability for the project, the applicants will be called for an interview (in person or via video conference).
- The shortlisted (for the interview) candidate shall be individually informed via email.
