The Staff Selection Commission announced notification for the recruitment of the Constable (GD) Posts. The age limit of the candidates is 18 – 23 Years. Detailed Eligibility – SSC Recruitment 2025:
Educational Qualification:
Constable (GD):
- The candidates must have passed the Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University
Age limit (As on 01 January 2025): 18 to 23 years. . (i.e., candidates born not before 02-01-2002 and not later than 01-01-2007).
Age Relaxation of SSC Jobs:
- 5 years for SC/ST candidates
- 3 years for OBC candidates
- Ex-Servicemen- 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the date of reckoning
- Children and dependent of victims killed in the 1984 riots or communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat

- Pay Level-1: Rs. 18,000-56,900/- for the post of Sepoy in NIA and
- Pay Level-3: Rs. 21,700-69,100/- for all other posts.
Selection Process of SSC Recruitment 2025:
The recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examination.
Computer-Based Examination 2025:
- The Computer-Based Examination will consist of one Objective Type Paper containing 80 questions carrying 2 marks each with the following composition
- There will be a negative mark of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
- Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.
- The dates of the Computer-Based Examination will be informed to candidates only through the website of the Commission
- The questions in the Computer-Based Examination will be of Matriculation level.
- ‘Walk-through video/ Mock Test’ on the Computer-Based Examination has been provided on the website of the Commission in the ‘Candidate’s Corner’ Section.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) -SSC GD Constable Exam 2024:
- Based on the performance in CBE, candidates will be shortlisted for PET/ PST by the Commission.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) will be conducted at various centres finalized by the CAPF.
- Candidates have to clear the race within the following time limits:

Physical Standard Test (PST) – SSC GD Constable Exam 2025:
- Height:
- Male: 170 cms
- Female: 157 cms
- Chest – Male:
- Un-expanded: 80 cms
- Minimum expansion: 5 cms
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
- Few categories of candidates are allowed relaxation in heights mentioned in the advertisement.
Medical Examination: Candidates will be shortlisted for a Detailed Medical Examination (DME) from the pool of candidates who qualify PET/ PST.
Application Fee – SSC Constable 2024 – 2025:
- Rs 100/- (Rs One hundred only).
- Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
Mode of Payment: Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards
