OSSSC Recruitment 2023: The Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has announced an online job notification for the Pharmacist/Multipurpose Health Worker(Male) post. OSSSC: The Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission was setup per the Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (Dist. Cadre); the Commission intends to regulate the method of recruitment to all Group-C Civil posts and Services under different district offices of the Government of Odisha. The Commission endeavours to bring about uniformity in the method of examinations, question setting, evaluation and declaration of results to provide quality manpower to work at the grass-root level of the administration.

Pharmacist: A candidate must have passed +2 Science Examination under Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha/equivalent and Diploma in Phan–nacy/B. Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) from Government Medical College & Hospitals of the State/any other recognized private institutions duly approved by A.I.C.T.E. and examination conducted by the Odisha Pharmacy Board.
Multipurpose Health Worker(Male): A candidate must have passed +2 Science Examination under the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha/ equivalent with a Diploma in Pharmacy from any Government Medical College and Hospital of the state/ any other private institutions duly recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India/A.I.C.T.E.
Age Limit(As on 15 December 2023): 21 – 38 Years
Relaxations in Upper Age limit:
- 05 years relaxable for SC/ST/SEBC/Women Category.
- 10 years relaxable for PWD.
- The upper age limit is relaxable by the total period of service rendered in defence service in the case of Ex-Servicemen.

OSSSC Recruitment 2023 Selection Process:
The Combined Recruitment Examination shall consist of the following stages.
Written Test:
There shall be a Written Test of 100 marks (MCQ type in OMR System) in one paper as detailed below:

- In the Written Test, there shall be a negative marking @0.50 mark per question for wrong/multiple answers.
- In the Written Test, the minimum qualifying marks for ST, SC, PwD, Ex-Servicemen and Sportsperson category of candidates shall be 30%, and the minimum qualifying marks for candidates other than ST, SC, PwD, Ex-Servicemen and Sportsperson categories shall be 35%.
Merit List: The Provisional Merit List of the candidates shall be prepared in order of merit based on the marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test and the marks awarded to Short-Term COVID-19 healthcare workers, if any, as per rules.
Screening List and Document Verification:
- The candidates who qualify in the Written Test will be shortlisted/screened @ 125%; the number of vacancies advertised category / special category wise as per merit based on the performance in the Written Test (marks secured or awarded) and the marks awarded.
- The Commission is not verifying any original document for admission of the candidates to the Written Test.
- The candidates shall be admitted to the Written Test provisionally based on the information submitted in the online application and the declaration.
- The original documents of the shortlisted candidates shall be verified/validated about the bio-data and application of the candidate by the Appointing Authorities concerned for validation of candidature before issuing an appointment order.
- As such, the applicant’s candidature shall remain provisional until validation by the Appointing Authority.
