Educational Qualification – Oil India Limited Careers:
Contractual Mechanical Supervisor:
- Class 10 from the Government Recognised Education Board.
- Passed 03 (three) years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a Government-recognised Recognized Institute.
- Minimum 02 (Two) years post-qualification work experience in the operation and maintenance of Reciprocating Compressor / Pump/operation and maintenance of gas pipeline jobs/maintenance of mechanical workshop setup or Installation/ maintenance of crude oil storage tank in Govt. / Semi Govt./ PSU / Public / Private Organisations providing service to E&P company.
Contractual Assistant Fitter:
- Class 10th passed from Government Recognized Education Board.
- Trade certificate in Fitter trade from Government Recognized Institute.
- Minimum 02 (Two) years post qualification work experience in operation and maintenance of Reciprocating Compressor / Pump / operation and maintenance of gas pipeline jobs / maintenance of mechanical workshop setup or Installation/ maintenance crude oil storage tank in Govt. / Semi Govt./ PSU / Public / Private Organizations providing service to E&P company
Contractual Period: The engagement will be purely on a contractual basis only. The maximum period of contractual engagement will be 01 (One) year only. The initial period of the contractual engagement will be for a period of 06 (six) months, which is extendable by another tenure of 06 (six) months subject to a departmental requirement, performance and conduct of the incumbent, medical fitness etc.
Age Limit (As on 04 July 2025):
- Contractual Mechanical Supervisor: Minimum: 24 years; Maximum age limit: Gen: 45 years, OBC-NCL: 48 years & SC/ST: 50 years
- Contractual Assistant Fitter: Minimum: 18 years; Maximum age limit: Gen: 30 years, OBC-NCL: 33 years & SC/ST: 35 years
