Detailed Eligibility – NGRI Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS):
- Essential: Matriculation or equivalent pass
- Desirable: Intermediate (12th Class) Pass and Experience in the relevant area of work
Age Limit (As on 05 January 2026): 25 years
Age Relaxation:
- The upper age limit shall be relaxed by 05 years for Scheduled Caste [SC]/ Scheduled Tribe [ST] and 03 years for Other Backward Class [OBC(NCL)], as per Government orders in force, only in respect of those cases where the posts/vacancies are reserved for respective categories.
- The upper age limit is relaxable up to the age of 35 years for Widows, Divorced Women and Women Judicially separated from Husbands, who are not remarried but no relaxation of educational qualification or method of recruitment (upto 40 years for members belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes candidates in respect of the posts reserved for them).

Selection Process of NGRI Careers:
- Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria as recommended by the Screening Committee duly constituted by the Director, CSIR-NGRI will be called for a Trade Test.
- The Selection Committee will decide the mode of Trade Test and also conduct the Trade Test
- Those candidates who qualify for the trade test will be eligible to take part in the Competitive Written Examination (CWE).
- The final merit list will be prepared based on the performance of the candidates in the Competitive Written Examination.
- Competitive Written Examination consists of one paper. The Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in this paper.
Syllabus of written test for Multi-Tasking Staff (Group-C):
- Mode of Examination: OMR-Based Objective Type Multiple Choice Examination.
- Medium of Questions: The questions will be set in English, Hindi & Telugu except the questions on English Language.
- Standard of exam: Class 10
- Total No. of Questions: 150
- Total Time Allotted: 02 hours
