NESAC Recruitment 2026: North Eastern Space Applications Centre has announced a notification for the posts of Research Scientist/Junior Research Fellow. There are a total of about 11 vacancies available for the North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC). Candidates with a qualification of B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/M.Sc are eligible to apply for the jobs. The interested and eligible candidates can attend the Walk-In-Interview on 05 & 06 March 2026. Research Scientist:

RS01:

• First Class M.Sc./MTech in Remote sensing and GIS (Geographic Information System) / Geoinformatics / Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing/ Geomatics/ Computer Science (CS)/ Information Technology (IT)/ Civil Engineering/ Earth Sciences/ Geography/ Geology. Minimum One year of concerned working/ research experience in photogrammetry/ UAV-based geospatial data processing/ 2D-3D modeling & analytics

RS 02:

• First Class M. Tech / M.S. / M.Sc. in Electronics and Communication Engg/ Mechanical Engg/ Electrical & Electronics Engg/ Computer Science & Engg/ Space Science & Engg/ Physics/ Applied Physics/ Electronics or in any other subject that is equivalent to these subjects. Minimum one year work/ research experience in a relevant field.

RS 03:

• First Class M.E./ M.Tech in Civil Engineering/ Agricultural Engineering/ Remote Sensing & GIS/ Water Resources Engineering with a specialization/ dissertation in water resources.  With
• B.E./B.Tech/ First Class B.E/B.Tech Degree in Civil/Agricultural Engineering  And
• One year working experience in the relevant field

Junior Research Fellow:

JRF01:

• First Class M.Sc./ MTech in Forestry/ Environmental Science/ Remote Sensing & GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Computer Science/ Earth System Science or equivalent with NET/GATE or equivalent

JRF02:

• First Class M.Sc./MTech in Applied Physics/Earth System Science/ Physics/ Atmospheric science or equivalent with NET/GATE or equivalent

JRF03:

• First Class Master degree in Forestry/ Ecology/ Environmental Sciences/ Botany / Earth System Science / Remote Sensing and GIS/ Geoinformatics or equivalent with NET/GATE or equivalent

JRF04:

• First Class B.E /B.Tech in Mechanical /Computer Science /Electronics and Communication Engineering / Aerospace /Avionics with NET/GATE or equivalent.

JRF05:

• First Class M.Tech in Computer Science & Engg. / Atmospheric Sciences/ Physics/ Applied Physics/ Earth System Science or equivalent subject with NET/GATE or equivalent.    OR
• First Class B. Tech /M.Sc. in Computer Science & Engg./ Atmospheric Sciences/ Physics/ Applied Physics/ Earth System Science or equivalent subjects with NET/GATE or equivalent.

JRF06:

• First Class M.E/ M.Tech in  Remote sensing and GIS (Geographic Information System) / Water Resources Engineering/ Earth Science Engineering/  Civil Engineering Agriculture Engineering/ Environmental Engineering or equivalent with water resources concerned specialization/ dissertation with NET/GATE in the relevant discipline.   OR
• First Class M.Sc in Remote sensing and GIS (Geographic Information System)/ Environmental Science or equivalent with water resources related specialization/ dissertation with NET/GATE in the relevant discipline

JRF07:

• First Class M.Sc/ M.Tech in Remote Sensing/ Geoinformatics/ Environmental Science or equivalent with NET/GATE or equivalent in the relevant discipline
