Education Qualification:
Sports Trainees:
- The Sports Trainees will be considered for selection if they have represented in the respective games at the following level during the Year i.e. 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24.
- Represented the Country in an International competition. and /or
- Represented the State in a National competition. and/or
- Represented combined Universities team in any National competition. and/or
- Represented the University in Inter – University tournament conducted by University Sports Control Board. and/or
- Represented at least Club in ‘A’ division tournament for Cricket
- Represented in at least Super/Elite Division in Hockey, Football, Kabaddi and Volleyball

Education Qualification:
Apprentices:
Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA):
- Passed 10th Class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent
- COPA Trade Certificate issued by National Council of Vocational Training.
Graduate Apprentice:
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineering: Degree in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering/Technology from a recognized University as per Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended from time to time)
Technician Apprentice:
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineering: Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Technology from a recognized Board of Technical Education as per Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended from time to time)
Age Limit(As on 01 December 2024):
- To undergo Apprenticeship training, the minimum age limit is 14 years, and there is no upper age limit.
- However, candidates between 14 and 18 are not eligible to sign the Apprenticeship contract as they are minors.
- Their contract is required to be signed by their guardians.

Selection Process for Mumbai Port Authority Careers:
- The selection process will be based on the marks obtained by the candidates in examinations/semesters.
- If two candidates have secured same marks in the examination, the older candidate will be placed above in the merit list.
- The merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of total marks obtained in all semesters
- The listed candidates in the merit list shall be called for verification of all original documents and selection procedure at ATC office
- The date of reporting for verification of documents and selection procedure will be displayed on notice board at the office of the ATC and it will be uploaded on the official website
- All the selected candidates will undergo physical fitness test at the MbPA Hospital, Wadala.

- Preference will be given to wards of MbPA employees.
- Separate merit list will be prepared for the wards of MbPA employees and other candidates
- The preferences in the merit list shall be in the descending order of higher qualification i.e. Post Graduate, Graduate, 3 Years Diploma and 12th Passed.
