Kolkata Metro Rail Recruitment 2025: Kolkata Metro Rail has announced notification for Act Apprentices posts in various disciplines. There are a total of about 128 vacancies available in the Kolkata metro. Candidates with ITI can apply for the Kolkata metro job vacancy. Detailed Eligibility of Jobs in Kolkata Metro:
Educational Qualification:
Apprenticeship:
- The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% marks. in aggregate. from a recognized Board and should also possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.

Age Limit ( As on 22 January 2025 ):
- The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age
Age Relaxation:
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in the case of SC/ST candidates.
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 03 years in the case of OBC-NCL candidates.
- For PwBD: The upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years
- The upper age limit is relaxable by an additional 10 years for Ex-SM (ex-serviceman) up to the extent of service rendered in Defense Forces plus 03 years provided they have put in a minimum of 06 months service at a stretch
Stipend: Stipend will be paid as per Rules.

Selection Process of Metro Jobs in Kolkata:
- The selection process is based on merit.
- The Select list for Document Verification (DV) will be based on the average of marks in the Matriculation and ITI.
- The merit list will be prepared trade unit/community-wise. Candidatos must noto that no contralizad morit fist will be ormed.
- A merit list will be drawn for eligible candidates taking the average of percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
Application Fees:
- Rs 100/- ( Postal order )
- No postal order is required for SC/ST, PwBD/Women candidates as per extant rule.
Payment Mode:
- The payment of fees will have to be made online through the ‘Payment Gateway’ available with the online Application Form while filling up the online Application Form.
- The payment can be made by using a Debit Card / Credit Card /Internet Banking etc.
