Written Test:
- The written test of 90 minutes duration will be conducted with 80 multiple choice questions carrying one mark for each correct answer.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.33 marks for each wrong answer

Written Test:
- The written test of 120 minutes duration will be conducted with 100 objective-type questions carrying one mark for each correct answer.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Those who secure a minimum of 50% marks in Part A and a minimum of 50% marks in Part B, Part C and Part D combined in the written test will be eligible for consideration for short listing for the skill test.
For Post No: 783:
Written Test:
- The written test of 120 minutes duration will be conducted with 80 objective-type questions carrying one mark for each correct answer.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- The Written test will be conducted in such a way to test the theoretical and practical knowledge of the candidate in cooking, equipment used in kitchens, General Knowledge, General English and Arithmetic (SSLC/Matriculation level).
Skill Test:
- Based on the performance in the written test, candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test in a 1:5 ratio with a minimum of 10 candidates.
- The skill test will be purely on a ‘go-no-go’ basis and marks obtained in the skill test will not be considered for selection.
- The final selection will be done amongst qualified candidates, purely based on the scores obtained in the written test.
- From amongst candidates who qualify for the skill test, the select panel will be drawn in the order of marks obtained in the written test
- In case of a tie in the written test scores, the academic scores of the notified qualification will be the tie-breaker.
Notes:
- The Written Test and Skill Test will be conducted at suitable venues in Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) only.
- Intimations to eligible candidates for Written Tests, Skill Tests etc. will be sent through e-mail/LPSC website only.
- Candidates will have to produce original documents for verification as proof of the details furnished in their application at the time of the Skill Test.
Application Fee:
- Initially, all applicants have to uniformly pay Rs. 750/- as an application fee.
- Candidates belonging to fee-exempted categories (Female/SC/ST/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen) will be refunded the full fee
- Other candidates will be refunded Rs. 500/- after retaining the application fee of Rs. 250/-.
