Detailed Eligibility for IMU Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Project Title: Development of a Mathematical Model for Maneuverability Predictions of Inland Vessels
Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
- B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M. Tech in Mechanical/Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering or allied fields from reputed institutions with a good academic record OR
- Master’s degree by Research in relevant fields of Engineering/Technology with a good academic record. [Publications in indexed journals in the above area is desired]
- Required Skills: Modelling and meshing, CFD simulations using ANSYS FLUENT/ SHIP FLOW/STAR CCM+ etc.
- Duration: Initially for 6 months and extendable depending on satisfactory performance of the candidate and availability of funds
Project Title: Studies for Ensuring Channel Stability off Haldia Multi-Modal Terminal of IWAI
Research Assistant:
- B.Tech in Civil Engineering and M.Tech in Civil Engineering or allied fields from reputed institutions with a good academic record
- Duration: Purely on a temporary basis and Initially for 6 months
Project Title: Underwater Radiated Noise from Port-related activities and its mitigation measures
Project staff:
- B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from reputed institutions with a good academic record (Freshers are preferred)
- B.Tech in Mechanical/Instrumentation Engineering from reputed institutions with a good academic record (freshers are preferred)
- Duration: Purely on a temporary basis and for 6 months only
Age Limit:
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Not More than 31 years
- Research Assistant: Not More than 35 years
- Project staff: Not More than 25 years
Age Relaxation: Relaxation to OBC/SC/ST/PWD/WOMEN category as per GoI norms.
Salary Details:
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Rs. 37,000/-
- Research Assistant: Rs. 50,000/-
- Project staff: Rs. 28,053/-
