Educational Qualification:ย 

In Charge โ€“ Fire:

  • 04 years full-time regular engineering degree in Fire/Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation and Degree /Diploma in Industrial Safety from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University with minimum 60% marks for UR/OBC-NC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 09 years of experience in firefighting management in Large Hydrocarbon sector.
    • 01-02 yearsโ€™ experience in LNG sector will be preferred.
    • Live fire training experience for Hydrocarbon will be preferred.
    • Experience in monitoring of plant equipment, system related to fire and thorough knowledge of the potential hazardous situation and control thereof in Oil & Gas Sector.
    • Adequate Knowledge of Gujarati Language.

Officer Fire:

  • 04 years full-time regular engineering degree in Fire/Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation and Degree /Diploma in Industrial Safety from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University with minimum 60% marks for UR/OBC-NC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 02 years of experience in firefighting management in Large Hydrocarbon sector.
    • Minimum 01 year experience in LNG sector will be preferred.
    • Experience in monitoring of plant equipment, system related to fire and thorough knowledge of the potential hazardous situation and control thereof in Oil & Gas Sector.
      Adequate Knowledge of Gujarati Language.

In-charge โ€“ Safety:

  • 04 years full-time regular engineering degree in Fire/Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation and Degree /Diploma in Industrial Safety from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University with minimum 60% marks for UR/OBC-NC/EWS candidates and 50% for C/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Experience:

Maintenance Engineer-Mechanical:



  • 04-years full time regular engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University with minimum 60% marks for UR/OBC-NC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 02 years of experience in maintenance in Large Hydrocarbon sector.
    • Minimum 01 year of experience in LNG sector will be preferred.
    • Maintenance of Static, rotary equipment for LNG/ Hydro carbon industries.
    • Work knowledge for preventive maintenance & break down maintenance.

Maintenance Engineer-Electrical:

  • 04-years full time regular engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University with minimum 60% marks for UR/OBC-NC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 02 years of experience in electrical maintenance in Large Hydrocarbon sector.
    • Minimum 01 year of experience in LNG sector will be preferred either in operations or projects.
    • Experience in operation & maintenance of EHV & HV systems include switchyard, substation.
    • Experience in maintenance of motor/panels/JBS/lighting fixtures & testing of panels/relays etc.

Maintenance Engineer-Instrumentation:



  • 04-years full time regular engineering degree in Instrumentation Engineering from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed Universitywith minimum 60% marks for UR/OBC-NC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 02 years of experience in maintenance in instrumentation & process control in Large Hydrocarbon sector.
    • Minimum 01 year of experience in LNG sector will be preferred.
    • Experience in construction of LNG Terminal will be preferred either in operations or projects.
    • Experience in Preventive maintenance & trouble shooting of Field Instruments, Fire & Gas Equipmentโ€™s, loop checking & Calibration ofInstruments, testing of relays/detectors.
    • Experience with PLC/ESD/DCS Operational maintenance with system configuration.
    • FA/PA & ACS systems testing & trouble shooting.

In Charge โ€“ Materials:

  • 04-years full time regular engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University withminimum 60% marks for UR/OBC-NC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 09 years of experience in Material Handling.
    • Experience of Tendering, Contract Awarding, Contract Handling & management.
    • Experience of Procurement, spares management and store activities.
    • Experience in Vendor management development.
    • Material codification of all stock items, inventory control management.

Officer โ€“ Materials:

  • 04-years full time regular engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University withminimum 60% marks for UR/OBC-NC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 02 years of experience in Material Handling.
    • Experience of Tendering, Contract Awarding, Contract Handling & management.

    • Material receiving, GRN preparation, inspection, issuing as & when required.

Officer โ€“ IT:

  • 04-years full time regular engineering degree in Information Technology from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University with minimum 60% marks for UR/OBC-NC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 02 years of experience in IT services of which 01 year in Large Hydrocarbons Sector will be preferred.
    • Minimum 01-year experience in Oil & Gas sector will be preferred.
    • Experience in Server maintenance, IT Solutions, Communication system, Office system, supporting SAP module management orย  equivalent, used for Oil & Gas Sector

Shift In Charge โ€“ Operations:

  • 04 years full time regular engineering degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University with minimum 60% marks for UR/OBC-NC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 05 years of experience in operations in Large Hydrocarbon Sector.
    • 3 years of experience in LNG sector will be preferred.
    • Experience in cryogenic facilities will be preferred.
    • Experience in LNG Operations will be preferred.
    • Experience as Shift In charge or Deputy Shift In charge is essential and must be well versed with DCS/ PLC Operations with knowledge of safety standard codes and statutory requirements.

Shift Officer โ€“ Operations:

  • 04 years full time regular engineering degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University with minimum 60% marks for UR/OBC-NC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 02 years of experience in operations in Large Hydrocarbon Sector.
    • Minimum 01 year of experience in LNG sector will be preferred.
    • Experience in cryogenic facilities will be preferred.
    • Experience in LNG Operations will be preferred.
    • Experience as Control room continuous operations is essential and must be well versed with DCS/ PLC Operations with knowledge of safety standard codes and statutory requirements.

QC Lab In Charge:

  • 2-years full time regular Masters in Chemistry from a recognized Indian University/Institute.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 02 years of experience in Laboratory Operations in Large Hydrocarbon sector.
    • Minimum 01-year experience in LNG sector will be preferred.
    • Experience in laboratory operations like Gas Analysis in GC, analysis for water and monitoring of Laboratory equipment used for Oil & Gas Sector

Officer โ€“ Commercial:

  • 03 years full time degree in Nautical science or Certificate of 2nd Mate/ 1st Mate FG/ home trade or equivalent from DGS (Directorate General of Shipping) approved university Or graduate with NMIS diploma or member of Int Institute of Chartering and ship broking.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 02 yearsโ€™ experience handling all statutory & regulatory process for handling ships at port.
    • Ship berthing/ de-berthing & Security of Port Operations having thorough knowledge of all national & international regulations relating to industry.
    • Co-ordination with all statutory authority, statutory payment process, all permissions & approval for port operations .

Officer โ€“ Shipping:

  • 03-years full time degree in Nautical science or Certificate of 2nd Mate/ 1st Mate FG/ home trade or equivalent from DGS (Directorate General of Shipping) approved university. Or, 03-years full time degree from a recognized Indian University/Institute with any Certificate course for shipping approved by DG Shipping
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 02 years experience in shipping industry handling port operations of hydrocarbon products.
    • Ship berthing/ de-berthing & Security of Port Operations having thorough knowledge of all national & international regulations relating to industry.
    • Co-ordination with ship berthing agency for ship berthing/ de-berthing activities.

Engineer โ€“ Operations:

  • 04-years full time regular engineering degree in Mechanical/ Chemical/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University with minimum 60% marks for UR/OBC-NC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 05 years in operations or projects or maintenance coordination in Large Hydrocarbons Sector.
    • Minimum 02 yearsโ€™ experience in LNG sector will be preferred.

Age Limit:

  • Officer:ย 27 Years

Age Relaxation:

  • The maximum age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC & ST,
  • The maximum age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC-NC,
  • The maximum age limit is relaxed by 10 years for PwBD (UR),
  • The maximum age limit is relaxed by 13 years for PwBD (OBC-NC)
  • The maximum age limit is relaxed by 15 years for PwBD (SC/ST) candidates.
  • The maximum age limit is relaxed by 5 years for candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989.
  • The age relaxation for Ex-servicemen would be applicable as per clause 5(b) of DOPT OM No.36034/2/2013 โ€“ Estt.

Selection Process:

  • Candidates fulfilling all eligibility criteria basis scrutiny of the application, uploaded documents and category-wise & discipline-wise merit list, will be considered for further selection process.
  • In the event of number of applications being large, HPLNG will adopt shortlisting criteria to restrict the number of candidates to be called for further selection process.
  • Depending on number of candidates fulfilling all criteria, candidates will undergo single stage or multiple stage interview.
  • A category wise merit list (Minimum-qualifying Marks (60 % for UR/OBC-NC/EWS, 50% for SC/ ST/PwBD) will be drawn for all the candidates who qualify in all the selection parameters
