HPCL Careers – Educational Qualification:
Senior Officer – Safety:
- Full-time regular engineering degree in Safety or Full-time regular engineering degree with Diploma in Industrial Safety from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University with minimum 60% marks for UR/OBCNC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- 02 years’ experience in Safety Management of which 01 years in Large Hydrocarbons Sector / Continuous process plants / Fertiliser Plants / Heavy Industry is mandatory.
Senior Officer – Materials:
- Full time regular engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University with minimum 60% marks for UR/OBC-NC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- 02 years’ experience in Materials Management in Government, PSU / Operating or under construction Process plant/ Heavy Engineering industry such as Process Plant Equipment, Earthmoving and Mining Machinery, Textile Machinery, Shipbuilding and Defence Equipment /System.
Senior Engineer – Operations:
- Full-time regular engineering degree in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation Engineering from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University/Deemed University with minimum 60% marks for UR/OBC-NC/EWS candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- 02 years’ experience in operations, of which 01 year experience in DCS operations in Large Hydrocarbons Sector or in process plant is mandatory.
Age Limit (As on 15 March 2026):
- Senior Officer – Safety: 27 Years
- Senior Officer – Materials: 27 Years
- Senior Engineer – Operations: 27 Years
Age Relaxation:
- The maximum age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC & ST,
- The maximum age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC-NC,
- The maximum age limit is relaxed by 10 years for PwBD (UR),
- The maximum age limit is relaxed by 13 years for PwBD (OBC-NC)
- The maximum age limit is relaxed by 15 years for PwBD (SC/ST) candidates.
- The maximum age limit is relaxed by 5 years for candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989.
- The age relaxation for Ex-servicemen would be applicable as per clause 5(b) of DOPT OM No.36034/2/2013 – Estt.

Selection Process of HPCL LNG Jobs:
- Candidates are advised to upload a “Single PDF File” containing:
- Updated Resume and Personal Information Form
- All Educational qualification certificates (10th, 12th, Graduation, Post-Graduation and Certification),
- All work experience letters, including appointment letters of the current employer, if any.
- Applications without the above-specified supporting documents may be rejected as incomplete or insufficient information.
- Candidates fulfilling all eligibility criteria based on scrutiny of the application, uploaded documents and category-wise & discipline-wise merit list will be considered for further selection. In the event of a number of large applications, HPLNG may adopt shortlisting criteria to restrict the number of candidates who can be called for further selection. Depending on the number of candidates fulfilling all criteria, candidates will undergo single-stage or multiple-stage interviews.
- A category-wise merit list (Minimum-qualifying Marks (60 % for UR/OBC-NC/EWS, 50% for SC/ ST/PwBD) will be drawn for all the candidates who qualify in all the selection parameters.
