There are 05 vacancies to be filled for this recruitment. The educational qualification should be B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc/M.E/M.Tech/Ph.D. Interested candidates can attend the interview. About CIAB: Center of Innovative and Applied Bioprocessing (CIAB) is an autonomous national institute under the Department of Biotechnology (Govt. of India). This futuristic innovation institute of its own kind in the country has a mission of advancing knowledge, leads, and emerging technologies/processes relevant to the agri-food sector towards applications and products. It aims to link them with societal benefits through catalyzing/promoting entrepreneurial action around bioprocesses, bio-products, value-addition to bioproducts, etc. with special reference to the agrifood sector. Currently, the four major mandated R&D areas are in hand at the institute.

Educational Qualification:
Research Associate:
- Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences / Biotechnology / Chemical Engineering from a recognized University / Institute and having at least one first-author research publication in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
- Desired Experience: Biomass valorization, nanotechnology, biomaterial development.
JRF:
- M.E. / M. Tech. / B.Tech. / B.E (Bioprocess / Biochemical / Chemical / Biotechnology) from a recognized University / Institute or M.Sc. (Microbiology / Biotechnology) from a recognized University / Institute and
- NET / GATE / GPAT or any other relevant equivalent nature of test qualified.
Research Associate:
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering / Biochemical Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Biotechnology from a recognized University / Institute and having at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal. OR
- M.E./ M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering / Biochemical Engineering / Environmental Engineering /Biotechnology from a recognized University/ Institute with three years experience in industry/research/teaching.
- Desired Experience: Agro waste valorization/ Biomass valorization, Process development of biomaterial.
Senior Research Fellow:
- M.Sc. / M. Tech. in Biotechnology from a recognized University / Institute.
- M.Sc. in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Material Science / Biotechnology / Life Sciences from a recognized University / Institute.
- NET / GATE / any other relevant equivalent nature of test qualified and
- Two years of relevant research experience in the area of molecular biology/biotechnology.
Junior Research Fellow (Bioprocessing/ Food Engineering):
- M.E. / M. Tech./ B.Tech/ B.E (Bioprocess / Biochemical / Chemical / Biotechnology / Food Technology) from a recognized university/institute or M.Sc. (Microbiology / Food Science / Biochemistry /Biotechnology) from a recognized University / Institute and
- NET / GATE / any other relevant equivalent nature of test qualified
Age Limit:
- Research Associate: 35 years
- Junior Research Fellow: 28 years
- Senior Research Fellow: 32 years
Age Relaxation: Relaxation of age for various categories (including woman candidates) shall be as per the rules of DST and other Government of India agencies.
