Educational Qualifications:
Nursing Officer (Group B Posts):
- B.Sc (Hons ) Nursing from a recognised University or Institute, or Regular course in B.Sc Nursing from a recognised University or Institute; or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing from a recognised University or Institute
- Registered as a Nurse or Nurse and Midwife (RN or RN and RM) with the State Nursing Council.
- Registered as a Nurse or Nurse and Midwife (RN or RN and RM) with the state Nursing Council. OR
- Diploma In General Nursing Mid-VWifery from a recognised Board or Council;
- Registered as a Nurse or Nurse and Midwife (RN or RN and RM) with the State Nursing Council;
- One year of experience in minimum 50 (Fifty) bedded Hospital after acquiring the educational qualification mentioned
Age Limit (As on 07 May 2025): 18 – 30 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC – 05 (Five) years
- OBC – 03 {Three) years
- PwBD – 10 {Ten) years
- Centre Govt. Civil employees who have rendered not less than three years of regular service as on the closing date for receipt of online submission of application: 05 years
- Ex-Servicemen & Commissioned Officers incl. ECO/SSCOS – Length of Military service plus 03 years

Selection Process of Chandigarh Administration Careers:
- Selection will be made purely based on merit in the written test, subject to the fulfilment of eligibility conditions.
- All selected Candidates must appear before a medical board o assess their medical fitness.
- The written test will consist of the following subjects
- Subject Knowledge of the concerned post 70 Marks (i.e. Nursing) – 70 Marks
- Practical Assessment type questions (From the relevant Fields) – 30 Marks
- Grand Total – 100 Marks
- The duration of the written test will be 02 hours
- The medium of examination will be in English
- The Final Merit list will be prepared only of those candidates who have qualified in both parts based on marks obtained in Part-1 (70 Marks) and Part-2 (30 Marks)
- Thereafter, the candidates will be called for counselling as per their merit in the ratio of 1.3
