Librarian:

Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed
At least 10 years as a Librarian at any level in University Library or ten years of teaching as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science or ten years experience as a College Librarian
Evidence of innovative Library services, including the integration of ICT in a library.
A Ph.D. Degree in library science/documentation/ archives and manuscript keeping

Asstt. Director Physical Education & Sports:

A Master’s Degree in Physical Education and Sports or Physical Education or Sports Science with 55% marks
Record of having represented the university/college at the inter-university/intercollegiate competitions or the State and/or national championships.
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET), conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET, or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in Physical Education or Physical Education and Sports or Sports Science, in accordance with the University Grants Commission

Section Officer:

A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized University/ Institute.
Three Years experience as Assistant in the Level 6 or eight years as UDC in Level 4 of any Central/State Govt./ University/Public Sector Undertakings and other Central or State Autonomous Institutions or holding equivalent positions in any reputed Private companies/bank with annual turnover of at least Rs 200/- Crores or more
Proficiency in computer Operation, noting and drafting.

Assistant:

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University/ Institute. ii.
Three Years‟ experience as UDC or equivalent in Level 4 in Central/State Govt./ University/Public Sector Undertakings and other Central or State Autonomous Bodies or equivalent pay package in the reputed private companies/corporate banks with a minimum annual turnover of at least Rs 200/- Corers or more.

Library Assistant:

Bachelor’s degree in Library & Information Science or equivalent from a recognized University
Typing speed of 30 words per minute in English

Lower Division Clerk (LDC):

Selection Process for Assam University Careers:

The University may conduct Written Test& Skill Test for all Group B and C Non-teaching posts and the test may comprise Reasoning Ability, Arithmetic, Numerical ability, General Knowledge, Domain Knowledge of Subjects and the Establishment, Finance & Accounts, Examinations, Language Proficiency in English and Hindi, etc.
The University may conduct written test on subject to the level of eligibility requirement and Noting/Drafting/Skill Test or any other type of test depending upon the job requirements of the post.
The University will adopt its own procedure of screening and scrutinize the applications through the Screening Committees and based on the recommendations, the short listing of the candidates will be made.
