AIIMS NORCET 2025: All India Institute Of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, has announced notification for Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-8 for recruiting Nursing Officer posts. Candidates with the qualification of Diploma/B.Sc is eligible to apply for the job. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online on or before 17 March 2025. Detailed Eligibility โ€“ AIIMS NORCET Jobs:

Educational Qualification:

Nursing Officers:

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing/B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/state Nursing council recognized Institute or University OR
  • B.Sc. (Post-Certificate)/Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing council recognized Institute/ University
  • Registered as Nurses & Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council OR
  • Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing council recognized Institute/Board or Council
  • Registered as Nurses & Midwife in State/Indian Nursing Council.
  • Two Yearsโ€™ Experience in a minimum 50 bedded Hospital after acquiring the educational qualification mentioned above as applicable for all Participating AIIMS.

Remarks โ€“ The required two years of experience as in above is an essential criterion, and to be valid, the experience shall be acquired after obtaining Essential Qualification, i.e. after completing the residency period of the course, declaration of result & registration with the State/Indian Nursing Council.

Age Limit ( As on 17 March 2025): 18 โ€“ 30 Years

Age Relaxation:ย 

  • SC/ST โ€“ 5 years
  • OBC โ€“ 3 years
  • PWBD โ€“ 10 years, subject to the condition that maximum age of the applicant on the crucial date shall not exceed 56 years
  • PWBD + OBC 13 years, subject to the condition that maximum age of the applicant on the crucial date shall not exceed 56 years
  • PWBD + SC/ST 15 years, subject to the condition that maximum age of the applicant on the crucial date shall not exceed 56 years
  • Ex Servicemen and commissioned Officers including ECO/SSCOs 5 years (See Annexure-II for detail)

Selection Process of AIIMS NORCET Jobs:

Stage I: NORCET Preliminary:

  • The NORCET Preliminary stage is a qualifying examination where a candidate who qualifies in the test will be allowed to appear in Stage II: ORCET Main, subject to conditions as described below for preparation of the list of candidates called for Stage II.
  • NORCET Preliminary will not be used for deciding Merit/Rank for final selection.
  • The duration of the examination shall be 90 minutes.
  • 100 MCQs of 100 marks with four alternatives for each question. (20 MCQs related to General Knowledge & Aptitude & 80 MCQs related to the syllabus of Nursing courses being taught at the essential qualification level)
  • There will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks for each wrong answer
  • Question paper will be divided in 5 sections each of 18 minutes duration, where each section will contain 20 question
  • There will be sequence in which each section will be enabled to view/answer questions.
  • Each section will appear one by one during the 90 minutes duration at one time only.
  • You will be allowed only to attempt questions in the currently active section which will remain enable for set time and it will never come back again for any action after moved to next section
  • The qualifying marks in the Stage I: NORCET Preliminary Examination will be 50 percentiles for UR/EWS, 45 percentile for OBC and 40 percentile for SC & ST. For PWBD, an additional 5 percentile relaxation will be given irrespective of the category.
  • Accordingly, qualifying marks for PWBD will be as follows UR/EWS-PWBD-45 percentile, OBC-PWBD-40 percentile and SC/ST-PWBD-35 percentile)

Stage II: NORCET Main:

  • The duration of the examination shall be 180 minutes.
  • 160 MCQs of 160 marks with four alternatives for each question related to the subject covering the entire syllabus of Nursing courses being taught at the essential qualification level focused towards case scenario-based questions for testing nursing skills competency
  • There will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks for each wrong answer
  • Question paper will be divided in 4 sections of 45 minutes each containing 40 questions
  • There will be sequence in which each section, which will be enabled to view/answer questions.
  • Examination will be submitted automatically after 180 minutes.
  • Each section will appear one by one during 180 minutesโ€™ duration at one time only for the set section duration.
  • The qualifying (percentage) marks in the NORCET Examination will be 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for OBC and 40% for SC & ST.
  • For PWBD, an additional 5% relaxation will be given irrespective of the category.

Application Fees:

  • General/OBC Candidates: Rs. 3,000/-
  • SC/ST Candidates/EWS: Rs. 2,400/-
  • Persons with Disabilities: Exempted
  • Application Fees of SC/ST candidates who appear in the Examination will be refunded after the declaration of results in due course of time.

  • The candidate can pay the prescribed application fee through DEBIT CARD/CREDIT CARD/ NETBANKING.
