SELECTION PROCESS:

The selection process for Specialist Officer in Union Bank of India comprises the following test depending upon the candidates eligible. It is to be noted that any of the following tests may or may not be conducted.

  • Online Examination
  • Group Discussion
  • Personal Interview

Online Test:

The total duration of the Examination will be of 120 minutes. Total 200 multiple choice questions carrying a total of 200 Marks. The exam pattern for the online test is given in the below image.

The questions which will be asked in this section will be Domain-related questions for the domain that you have applied for.

Group Discussion (GD):

Maximum marks for Group Discussion will be 50 and the minimum qualifying mark for group discussion is

  • 25 marks โ€“ General/EWS.
  • 5 marks โ€“ Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC).

Only those candidates who have secured minimum qualifying marks in GD shall be called for a Personal Interview.

Personal Interview (PI):

A Personal Interview is conducted for a total of 50 marks. In the personal interview, the following things will be accessed โ€“

  • Power Of Expression
  • Clarity Of Thought
  • Qualities Of Leadership
  • Extracurricular Activities
  • Hobbies
  • General Demeanour
  • Behavior
  • Communication Skills
  • Suitability For the Post, Etc.

The minimum qualifying marks for the Personal Interview are

  • 25 marks โ€“ General Category.
  • 5 marks for Reserved Category applicants.

The candidates who are not securing the minimum qualifying marks in the Personal Interview will be disqualified for selection, even though they have passed the other rounds of selection.

Result Declaration:

After the completion of the entire selection process, a merit list will be prepared and the candidates who have been selected will be mentioned in that list and the result will be made available on the official website.

Is there any negative markings for the online test ?

Yes, for every wrong answers 25% of the mark will be deducted. If the candidates leave the answer blank, no mark will be reduced for that.
