Educational Qualifications:
Graduate Apprentices:
- A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Regular – Full time) with first class granted by a Statutory University in a relevant discipline.
- A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Regular – Full-time) with first class granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in a relevant discipline.
- Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology in a Relevant Discipline (Regular – Full-time) granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in a relevant discipline.
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Regular – Full-time) granted by a University in a relevant discipline.
- A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices: Graduate in Arts/Science/Commerce/ Humanities such as B.Sc/BA/B.Com/BBA/BBM/BCA etc., (Regular – Full time) granted by a Statutory University / Deemed University in relevant discipline. – UGC approved
Note: Graduate/Diploma holders in Engineering Passed during 2020, 2021, 2022 & 2023 only eligible.
Duration of Training: Apprenticeship training will last one year as per Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.
Age Limit: The age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.
Stipend:
- Graduate Apprentices: Rs. 9,000/-
- Diploma Apprentices: Rs. 8,000/-
- Non – Engineering Apprentices: Rs. 9,000/-

Selection Process for TNSTC Careers:
- The board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) is interested in preparing a shortlist from the online application data.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the essential prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines.
- Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through their registered email ID.
- Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Certificate Verification at TNSTC, Trichy.
