NIV Recruitment 2024: The National Institute of Virology has announced notification for the Project Technical Support – I position on a temporary contract basis. Detailed Eligibility of ICMR-NIV Recruitment:
Educational Qualification:
Project Title: “Pan-India antigenic characterization of dengue viruses: Early warning signal for a potential pandemic” at NIV Kerala Unit
Project Technical Support–I:
- 10th + Diploma (MLT/DMLT or equivalent) + two Years experience in relevant subject / field. OR
- Three years Graduate degree in MLT/Microbiology + One year experience in relevant subject
- Desirable qualifications: Previous work experience in a medical laboratory with knowledge of PCR techniques
Duration: Initial appointment will be for a period of Six months and further continuation/ extension of project service will depend on tenure of the project and performance evaluation of the concerned project employee by his/her project investigator, subject to approval of competent authority.
Age Limit (As on 29 November 2024): 28 years
Age relaxation: Age relaxation will be as per the guidelines of ICMR
Salary: Rs. 18000/- + HRA, as admissible

Selection Process of ICMR-NIV Recruitment:
- The selection process will be based on Walk-in-interview/written test
- Depending upon the number of candidates, written/skill test will be conducted.
- Question paper will be on relevant subject matters of the concerned position considering its essential qualification and job requirements, in addition to, general knowledge, reasoning skills, quantitative analysis, language and general aptitude etc.
- Candidates successfully qualifying the written/skill test would be considered for interview and/or further process of recruitment, subject to fulfillment of required eligibility criteria in all respects of qualification, age and experience, etc.
