Educational Qualification:
Project Title: Design and Development of High- Strength WearResistant Aluminium-Based Hybrid Composites for Airframe Wings
Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
- B.E/B.Tech with GATE score OR M.E/M.Tech/M.S in the following disciplines
- Metallurgical and Material Engineering
- Materials Science/Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Production Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Aerospace Engineering
- Ceramic Engineering
- Energy Science and Engineering
- Allied engineering disciplines.
- A valid GATE score is desirable.
- Research experience in the field of Casting of Aluminium composites, Microstructural characterization, Sintering, Mechanical property evaluation, CAD/ CAM Modeling, and Tribology of materials will be given preference
Duration: Initially 01 year and can be extended up to a Maximum of 02 years subject to satisfactory performance.
Age Limit:
- For B.E/B.Tech: 28 years
- For M.E/M.Tech: 32 years
Age Relaxation: Relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PD will be given as per the GOI rules
Salary for IIT Patna vacancies: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA (at the rate of 8%) per month

- The selection process will be based on the candidates’ performance in the online interview.
- The shortlisted candidates would be asked to choose between offline walk-in (no travel allowances (TA) would be provided) and online interview mode.
