NIOT Recruitment 2026: The National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Chennai, has announced a notification for the Technician/Graduate Apprentices posts. There are 30 vacancies available for these posts. Candidates with B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc/BCA/B.Com/Diploma qualifications are eligible to apply for this role. Educational Qualification:

Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:

• Diploma in Engineering / Technology in full-time granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government/University/Institutions in the relevant discipline

  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering

Graduate (Degree) Apprentices:

• Full-time graduate degree granted by a recognised university/institution in a relevant discipline.

  • Civil Engineering – B.E/B.Tech
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering – B.E/B.Tech

Other Eligibility Requirements:

• Engineering / Diploma/ Non-Engineering Graduates who have passed out their Degree /Diploma from the AICTE/DOTE/UGC approved institutions respectively, within 05 years after qualifying their examinations are eligible.
• Any Post Graduation (Even integrated PG Course) are not eligible

Age limit (As on 10 June 2026): 

Stipend:

• Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: Rs. 12,000/- 
• Graduate (Degree) Apprentices: Rs. 13,000/-

Selection Process of NIOT Careers:

• The selection process will be based on the candidate’s performance in the walk-in interview
• If the number of candidates is more, the Selection Committee shall adopt its own criteria and shortlist the candidates for walk-in interview in proportionate to the available vacancies.

Interested and eligible candidates can attend the walk-in interview along with their filled-in application form in the prescribed format, original and self-attested copies of certificates, mark sheets, proof of date of birth (copy of SSLC/HSC), Aadhaar Card, and a passport-size colour photograph on 10 June 2026 (10.00 AM – 1.00 PM).
