Junior Research Fellow:

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Physics/Earth Sciences/Remote Sensing/ Geoinformatics/ Hydrology/Environmental Science or its equivalent or
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering or technology in the relevant subject from a recognized university or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level
  • Qualified in national level examinations i.e. CSIR-UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) or GATE
  • Desirable:
    • Knowledge of Himalayan glaciology and ability to carry out glaciological field work in high altitude regions of Himalaya.

  • Desirable:ย Minimum two years post qualification experience in planning & execution of new Electrical projects involving power cabling, DG set, online UPS, Pump, HVAC, Split AC, fire alarm and firefighting system and its subsequent maintenance. Knowledge of AutoCAD software

  • Masterโ€™s Degree in Earth Science/ Geology/ Marine Geology/Marine Science or related subjects OR

    • Two years R&D experience in paleoceanography/ paleoclimatology.

    • Two years of academic/research experience in seismic data processing and interpretation. Demonstrated excellence through peer reviewed publications
    • Experience in marine geophysical data acquisition.

Project Scientist-I (PS-I-12 ):

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Geophysics/Applied Geophysics/Marine Geophysics from a recognized university or its equivalent or
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree inEngineering or Technology in the relevant subject from a recognizeduniversity with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
  • Desirable:
    • Two years of relevant experience in R&D in industrial and Academic Institutions or S&T organizations and scientific activities and services.
    • Experience in seismological data modelling, seismic tomography and geodynamic modelling.
    • Knowledge of numerical modelling; exposure to seismology software and UNIX/LINUX/GIS/ C++/MATLAB environments with programming skills.
    • Demonstrated excellence through peer reviewed publications

Project Scientist-I (PS-I-13):

  • Masterโ€™s Degree in Geophysics/Applied Geophysics/ Marine Geophysics/ or its equivalent or
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized university or its equivalent with atleast 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
  • Desirable:ย 
    • Two years of experience in marine geophysics with exposure to GIS and programming.
    • Experience in participation in marine scientific expeditions.
    • Experience in analysis and interpretation of marine geophysical data.
    • High quality publication in SCI journal(s)

Project Scientist -I (PS-I-14):

  • Masterโ€™s Degree in Geology / Applied Geology / Marine Geology/Geochemistry/ Earth Sciences/Geological Sciences or its equivalent or
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
  • Desirable:
    • Two years of experience in sediment geochemistry/ rock geochemistry, isotope geochemistry, etc.
    • Operation/ maintenance/ handling of scientific analytical instruments like ICP-MS, LA-ICP-MS, XRF, XRD etc.
    • High-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals

Project Scientist -I (PS-I-15):

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering / Technology in Marine Engg. /Naval Architecture / Mechanical Engg. / Electrical Engg. or its equivalent from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
  • Desirable:ย 
    • Two years of relevant experience in ship operations! ship management/new ship acquisition.
    • Masterโ€™s degree in Engineering/ Technology in Marine Engg. Naval Architecture/ Mechanical Engg. Electrical Engg.
    • Specific experience in design, shipbuilding activities for new vesselConstruction.

Project Scientist -II (PS-II-7):

  • Masterโ€™s Degree in Hydro Chemistry / Marine Chemistry / Chemical Oceanography / Chemistry /Chemical Sciences or its equivalent or
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
  • Three years of experience in research related to water column chemistry
  • Desirable:
    • Undertake an active role in marine scientific expeditions for the collection of chemical oceanographic data/ samples.
    • Analysis for trace metal, He, CH4, etc. related to the exploration of Hydrothermal vents, leading to scientific publications.
