Detailed Eligibility:
Infrastructure Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications/Computer Science/Information Technology or any equivalent field with strong academic credentials is required.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a Linux support role.
- Good English communication and presentation skills (written & verbal).
- An ability to demonstrate a focus on attention to detail and high-quality results.
- Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals and concepts.
- Experience in kernel patching.
- Good understanding of Vmware
- Basic understanding of Storage & Backup
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, support and Administer Morningstar’s Global Linux servers.
- Should be ready to work in18/5 rotation shifts and on-call on weekends.
- Good knowledge and hands on practice on of RHEL 6.X – 7.X
- Should have good understanding of NFS, CIFS protocols.
- Should have a strong knowledge and hands on practice on Yum repository.
- Should have hands on experience of linux boot process and file systems.
- Good understanding of linux kernel
- Hands on knowledge of PV, Volume Groups and LVM
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory
- Candidates should have good knowledge and hands-on experience with Selinux modules and policies.
- Good understanding and hands on practice of AD authentication
- Prepare and maintain standard operating procedure document.
- Troubleshoot issues related to server booting and related to file system.
Advantageous:
- Redhat certifications – RHCSA/RHCE
- Understanding of storage Infrastructure
- Experience in maintaining chef infrastructure.
- Experience in creating and maintaining chef recipes.
- Experience in working with Terraform.
- Excellent understanding of AWS services like VPC, S3, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudFront
- Good Understanding of Splunk.
Job Description: Morningstar India is looking for a “Infrastructure Engineer” based in our Vashi, Navi Mumbai office. The ideal candidate should be someone who thrives on delivering high quality operational output, new experiences and technical challenges. As a “Infrastructure Engineer” working in Morningstar’s IT infrastructure team, you will be involved in supporting our In-house and AWS linux and ubuntu setup. Interested candidates should have a proven track record of supporting linux Infrastructures. The successful candidate for this role should have at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in an IT support role and should have experience and knowledge of Linux file systems, kernel along with yum repositories. Candidates should have an appreciation of security standards, best practices and principals. Candidates should have excellent English, strong communication skills and a degree in Electronics and Telecommunication or computer science or related scientific field with strong academic credentials is required. Preference will be given to applicants with relevant IT industry technology certifications. (E.g. ITIL). Candidate should be willing to work in 18X5 rotational shifts and on-call on weekends.
