MAHA TET 2019 โ€“ Maharashtra State Council of Examination has released the application process for Maharashtra Teachers Eligibility Test 2019 for Primary and Upper Primary Level Teachers. Candidates with the qualification ofย  B.El.Ed/ Diploma/ 12th can apply for Primary (1 to 5) level Teacher post and candidates with the qualification of B.A./ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed can apply for Upper Primary Level (6 to 8) Teachers posts. The selection process is based on the examination, Paper-I (Primary Level) and Paper-II (Upper Primary Level). Eligible candidates can apply for this examination through online on or before 28 November 2019. Here we discussed the detailed eligibility and application process.

Detailed Eligibility:



Educational Qualification:

For Primary Level (1 to 5):

  • Candidates should complete Degree from UGC recognized University with 02 years B.T.C (Final year & Passed out candidates)/ N.C.T.E. OR
  • 02 years Diploma (D.Ed.) from Indian Rehabilitation Center (R.C.I.) Intermediate with minimum 50% of marks/ its equivalent with 04 years Degree (Final year & Passed out candidates) in Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

For Upper Primary Level (6 to 8):

  • Candidates should complete Degree from UGC recognized University/ 02 years B.T.C. (Final year & Passed out candidates) from N.C.T.E
  • Intermediate with minimum 50% of marks/ its equivalent & 04 years Degree (Final year & Passed out candidates) in Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed),
  • Intermediate or equivalent, BA/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed from NCTE/ UG recognised Institute or Degree in Relevant discipline and B.Ed.

Age Limit: Applicant must be 18 years & above

MAHA TET 2019 โ€“ Selection Process:

  • The selection process is based on the Written Examination.
  • The written examination is consist of two papers, Paper-I and Paper-II
  • Paper-I will be for Primary Level Teachers (1 to 5 Class)
  • Paper-II will be for Upper Primary Level Teachers (6 to 8 Class)

Scheme of Examination:

Paper-I: (Primary Level Teachers (1 to 5 Class))

  • The examination will be based on the pen and paper method (offline mode)
  • It consists of multiple-choice questions for 150 marks
  • The duration of the exam is 1 & 1/2 hours
  • Each question consist of 1 marks, there will be no negative mark for wrong answers

  • Each question consist of 1 marks, there will be no negative mark for wrong answers
