Educational Qualification:
For Special Police Officer (Sports Quota):
- Candidates should pass Matriculation examination or equivalent from any Government recognized Board.
Note: The candidate must be a permanent resident of UT of J&K
Age Limit: 18 to 24 years
Age relaxation: Up to 02 years shall be given to the outstanding sports persons.

Candidates should have sports background of International/National/State/UT level/ Any Other by the following sports events:-

JK Special Police Officer Selection Process:
- Selection will be based on Physical Endurance Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Physical Endurance Test (PET) – Qualifying in nature only.
- Physical Standard Test (PST) – Measurement of Height & Chest.
Physical Standards:
- Height – Male: 5′.6″ (minimum), Female: 5′.2″
- Chest – Male: 32″ (unexpanded) & 33^1/2″ (Expended)
Physical Endurance Test (PET):
- Male – 1600 meters Race in 06 minutes and 15 seconds
- Female – 1000 meters Race in 06 minutes and 15 seconds
Push ups:
- For Male only 20 (one Cycle up and down to be counted as one)

JK Police Constable Selection Process:
- Selection will be based on Physical Endurance Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Written Examination.
- Physical Endurance Test (PET) – Qualifying in nature only.
- Physical Standard Test (PST) – Measurement of Height
- The final selection of the candidates for the post of Constable shall be made on their performance in the written test.
Scheme of Written Examination:
- The written test will consist of objective type questions.
- The question paper will consist of 100 questions to be attempted in 2 hours.
- The question paper will be matriculation standard and will comprise questions on general awareness/general knowledge, elementary mathematics, analytical aptitude and ability.
