Indian Air Force Vacancy 2025 – Detailed Eligibility:

Agniveervayu (Musician):

Educational Qualification:

• Passed Matriculation/10th or equivalent with minimum pass marks from any Govt recognised School Board

Music Ability:

• Candidates must have proficiency in music with accuracy in tempo and pitch and sing one complete song. They should be able to perform one preparatory tune and any notations, such as staff notation/tablature tonic Solfal Hindustani! Camatic etc. Candidates must be able to tune individual instruments (in case of instruments that require tuning) and match unknown notes on vocals or instruments.
• Candidates must be proficient in playing any instrument from list A or B.
• List-A:
  • Concert Flute / Piccolo.
  • Oboe.
  • Clarinet in Eb /Bb.
  • Saxophone in Eb / Bb.
  • French Hom in F / Bb.
  • Trumpet in Eb / C / Bb.
  • Trombone in Bb G.
  • Baritone.

Musical Experience Certificate: – Candidates should have any one of the following experience certificates:-

• Grade 5th or equivalent or above in one instrument from a recognised music institute such as TCL or RSM, KM Music Conservatory, Bangalore School of Music, TSM, GMI, Berklee School of Music etc. OR
• Diploma or equivalent in music for candidates performing Hindustani or Carnatic Classical Music from any recognised university.
  OR
• Certificate of participation/ awards presented at various events. For such candidates, performance/ playing of blowing instruments with staff notation as mentioned in Education

Age Limit:

• Candidates born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2008 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.
• In case a candidate clears all the stages of the selection procedure, then the upper age limit as on the date of enrolment should be 21 years

India Air Force Salary details:

• Agniveervayu enrolled under this scheme will be paid an Agniveer package of ₹ 30,000/- per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, Risk and Hardship allowances (as applicable in IAF), Dress and Travel allowances will be paid. Perks such as ration, clothing, accommodation and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) shall also be provided as per the existing rules.
• Agniveervayu will be given one time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package comprising their monthly contribution along with matching contribution by the Government on completion of their engagement period, as indicated below

Selection Process of Indian Air Force Vacancy 2025:

Proficiency Test in Playing Musical Instruments: Candidates must undergo proficiency tests in playing musical instruments, which will be conducted individually or with a group of instruments.

English Written Test:

• Candidates who qualify for a proficiency test in playing musical instruments will be subjected to an English written test. The written test wil be objective type, and the question paper should be in English. Answers are to be annotated on OMR sheet.
• Detailed procedures shall be explained before the examination is conducted. The written test wil be 30 minutes and shal comprise English (30 questions) as per Matriculation/ 10th CBSE syllabus. CANDIDATES ARE TO QUALIFY IN ENGLISH PAPER.
• The results of the written test shall be declared on the same day.

Marking Pattern for Written Test (Objective):

• One mark for every correct answer.
• Nil (0) mark for un-attempted question
• There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
• Nil (0) mark for giving more than one answer to a question.

Adaptability Test – (AT-I):

• All candidates who pass the English written test shall have to undertake AT-l (objective type written test) to assess a candidate’s suitability for employment in the IAF, which involves deployment in varied geographic areas. terrain, weather and operational conditions.

Adaptability Test – II (AT-II): All candidates who pass PFT will have to undertake ATI. ATI is to select candidates who can adapt to the environment of IAF and can adjust to the military way of life.

Medical Examination: Candidates with quality AT-II will be medically examined in July 2025 at AFS Palam and AFS Yelahanka. The Air Force medical team shall conduct Medical Examination as per IAF medical standards and policy in vogue on the subject issue.

Verification of Eligibility:

• Original Educational Certificates (10th passing certificate, marksheet) and other required applicable original documents like NCC 8A9, 8B9 or 8C9 certificate, Children of Serving Air Force Personnel (COAFP) certificate (or), Discharge Book, Service Book, Service Particular Certificate/ Casualty Service Certificate (or) Discharge Certificate (if discharged from Army/ Navy/ Government Organisation), consent form, passport size colour photographs and musical experience certificate shall be required and scrutinised/ verified at the examination venue prior to commencement of proficiency test to ascertain the prima-facie eligibility.
• Detailed verification will be carried out later regarding candidates who pass the written test. Those candidates who do not meet the laid down educational criteria shall be rejected during initial verification of original certificates & marks sheet before the conduct of the proficiency test and also during detailed verification on clearing the written test or if found ineligible at any subsequent stage.
• Note: The Selection Centre will not retain the original passing certificate/ marks sheet. The same will be
  returned to the candidates on completion of detailed verification.
