Agniveervayu – Educational Qualification:
Agniveervayu Intake 02/2026 Posts:
- Candidate should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination in any stream/ subjects from Education Boards recognised by Central/ State/ UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.. OR
- Passed two years Vocational Course from Education Boards recognised by Central/ State/ UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course). OR
- Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from Central, State and UT recognised Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).
Domicile Requirement: To be eligible to appear in the recruitment rally at Aizawl (Mizoram), Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) and Shillong (Meghalaya)
Age Limit:
- Candidate born between 02 July 2005 and 02 January 2009 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to appear in the recruitment rally
- In case, a candidate clears all the stages of the selection procedure, then the upper age limit as on date of enrolment should be 21 years.
India Air Force Salary Details:
- Agniveervayu enrolled under this scheme will be paid an Agniveer package of ₹ 30,000/- per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, Risk and Hardship allowances (as applicable in IAF), Dress and Travel allowances will be paid. Perks such as ration, clothing, accommodation and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) shall also be provided as per the existing rules.
- Agniveervayu will be given one one-time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package comprising their monthly contribution along with a matching contribution by the Government on completion of their engagement period, as indicated below

Selection Process of Indian Air Force Vacancy 2026:
Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
- PFT consists of two parts i.e. PFT-I and PFT-II.
PFT- I: Candidates have to complete 1.6 Km run as per the following timings to qualify PFT-I

Written Test:
- All candidates who qualify PFT shall undertake written test on the same day.
- The written test will be objective type and question paper shall be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English paper.
- Answers are to be annotated on OMR sheet. Detailed procedure shall be explained before conduct of the examination. Duration of the written test will be 45 minutes and shall comprise of English (20 questions) as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA) (30 questions). CANDIDATES ARE TO QUALIFY IN EACH PAPER SEPARATELY.

Adaptability Test- I:
- All candidates who pass the written test shall have to undertake Adaptability Test-I (objective type written test).
- The test is to assess suitability of a candidate for employment in the Indian Air Force, which involves deployment in varied geographic terrain, weather and operational conditions.
Adaptability Test-II:
- All candidates who pass Adaptability Test-I shall undertake Adaptability Test-II on the same or subsequent day depending on the local conditions.
- Adaptability Test-II is to select candidates who can adapt to the environment of Indian Air Force and are able to adjust to the Military way of life.
Medical Examination:
- Candidates who qualify Adaptability Test-II shall be medically examined in the month of March 2026 at designated Medical Boarding Centres (Jorhat, Tezpur, Guwahati for Aizawl and Shillong Rallies and Bangalore, Secuderabad, Hyderabad for Guntur Rally).
Verification of Eligibility:
- Original/ digilocker verified Educational Certificates (10th passing Certificate, 12th passing Certificate & mark sheet/ Diploma/ Vocational Course Passing Certificate & Mark Sheets) and other required applicable original documents like NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate, Children of serving Air Force Personnel (COAFP) certificate (or), Discharge Book, Service Book, Service Particular Certificate/ Casualty Service Certificate (or) Discharge Certificate (if discharged from Army/ Navy/ Government organisation), Consent form, passport size colour photographs and domicile proof (as per Para 6 above) shall be required and scrutinized/verified at the examination venue prior to commencement of Physical Fitness Test to ascertain the prima-facie eligibility.
- Detailed verification will be carried out later in respect of candidates who pass Physical Fitness Test and subsequently the written test and AT-I.
