Indian Air Force Agnipath Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2024: The Indian Air Force announced recruitment notification for Agniveervayu (Musician) 01/2025 for unmarried Indian male & female candidates. Indian Air Force offers opportunities for UNMARRIED INDIAN MALE & FEMALE CANDIDATES from all the districts of all States and all Union Territories of India to join the IAF as Agniveervayu (Musician). The Recruitment Test will be held at 3 ASC C/O AF Stn Kanpur and 7 ASC, No. 1 Cubbon Road, Bengaluru. Selection in the Indian air force is ‘fair & transparent’ and on merit only. At no stage any bribe is required to be paid to anyone for selection or recruitment in the indian Air force. Candidates should not fall prey to unscrupulous persons posing as recruiting/selecting agents. Registration for the rally will start at 1100 hrs on 22 May 2024 and will close at 2300 hrs on 05 June 2024 on web portal https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in. Educational Qualification 

Agniveervayu (Musician):



  • Passed Matriculation/10th or equivalent with minimum pass marks from any Govt. recognized School/ Board.
  • Candidates must have proficiency in music with accuracy in tempo, pitch and singing one complete song.
  • They should be able to perform one preparatory tune and any of the notations i.e. Staff notation/ Tablature/ Tonic Solfa/ Hindustani/ Carnatic etc.
  • Candidates must be able to tune individual instruments (in case of instruments require tuning) and match unknown notes on vocal or instruments.
  • The candidates should have proficiency in playing two instruments

  • Diploma or equivalent in the field of music for candidates performing Hindustani or Carnatic Classical Music from any recognized University. OR
  • Certificate of participation/ awards presented at various events. For such candidates’ performance/ playing of blowing instruments with staff notation as mentioned in Educational QRs.

Age Limit: Candidates born between 02 January 2004 and 02 July 2007 (both days inclusive) are eligible to appear in the Recruitment Rally.

Salary details of Indian Air Force Vacancy:

  • Agniveervayu enrolled under this Scheme will be paid an Agniveer package of Rs. 30,000/- per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, Risk and Hardship allowances (as applicable in IAF), Dress and Travel allowances will be paid. Selection Process of Indian Air Force Vacancy:

  • The selection process will be based on the following Phases

Proficiency Test in Playing Musical Instruments:

  • Candidates will have to undergo a Proficiency Test in playing musical instruments, which will be conducted individually or with a group of instruments

English Written Test

  • Candidates who qualify Proficiency Test in playing musical instruments will be subjected to English Written Test.
  • The Written Test will be objective type and question paper shall be in English. Answers are to be annotated on OMR sheet.
  • Detailed procedure shall be explained before the conduct of the examination.
  • Duration of the written test will be 30 minutes and comprise English (30 questions) as per Matriculation/ 10th CBSE syllabus.
  • Candidates are to qualify English Paper
  • Results of the written test shall be declared on the same day.

Marking Pattern for Written Test (Objective):

  • 01 mark for every correct answer.
  • Nil (0) marks for un-attempted question
  • There is no negative marking for a wrong answer
  • Nil (0) marks for giving more than one answer to a question.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

  • PFT consists of 1.6 Km run which to be completed within 07 minutes.
  • Candidates shall also have to complete 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups and 20 Squats within the stipulated time as per the following to qualify in the Physical Fitness Test

  • In team events, the individual should have represented state in Junior/ Senior National competitions conducted by respective Sports Federations or All India Inter University Championship or SAI (Khelo India National) in any of the sports disciplines
  • For Cricket Discipline Only – Candidates who have played All India Inter-University or BCCI Trophies – U-19, U-23, Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy, Deodhar Trophy or higher participation are only eligible to apply.

Duration of Agniveer Vayu: Agniveervayu will be enrolled in the Indian Air Force under Air Force Act 1950, for a period of FOUR years.

Age Limit:

  • Candidate born between 27 June 2003 to 27 December 2006 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.
  • In case, a candidate clears all the stages of the Selection trial, then the upper age limit
    as on date of enrolment should be 21 years.

Selection Process of Indian Air Force Vacancy:

  • The selection process will be based on Three Phases

Phase – I: Online Test

  • Eligible candidates will be sent admit cards for Phase – I of testing on their registered e-mail IDs between 48-72 hrs prior to the examination.
  • Candidates are required to download the admit card, take a colour printout and carry the same to the examination centre.
  • Name of city & exam date will be intimated to the candidates at an earlier date to enable them to plan their movement. Online test will be objective type and questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English paper.
  • The result of Phase-I and shortlisting for Phase-II, will be based on their performance in Phase-I Online test
  • Details of the test are as follows: –
    • Science Subjects. Total duration of the online test shall be 60 minutes and shall comprise of Physics, Mathematics and English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus.
    • Other than Science Subjects. Total duration of the online test shall be 45 minutes and shall comprise of English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
    • Science Subjects & Other than Science Subjects. Total duration of the online test shall be 85 minutes and shall comprise of Physics, Mathematics and English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).

Phase – II

  • Soon after the declaration of the result of Phase-I (Online) Test, a cut off will be applied on the normalised marks scored by the candidates in the Phase-I Test and SHORTLISTED candidates will be sent a New admit card on their registered e-mail IDs for Phase-II test at a designated ASC. T
  • Names of the shortlisted candidates, who qualify the online test, shall be displayed on the CASB Web Portal hand on a stipulated date shall be called at designated ASC for Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability Test-II. PFT consists of two parts, PFT-I and PFT-II.
  • All candidates who pass Physical Fitness Test will have to undertake Adaptability Test-II as per policy in vogue. Adaptability Test-II is for selection of candidates who can adapt to the environment of the Indian Air Force and are able to adjust to the military way of life.

Phase – III: Medical Examination

  • Candidates who qualify Adaptability Test-II shall be issued with medical appointment letter at respective ASCs.
  • Medical examination shall be conducted by Air Force Medical Team as per IAF medical standards and policy in vogue
