Educational Qualification for IAF Job Vacancy 2026:
Airmen in Group โYโ (Non-Technical) Medical Assistant:
- Candidate should have passed 10+2/ Intermediate/ Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and with 50% marks in English. OR
- Should have passed two yearsโ Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- Candidate with Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy. Candidate should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. In addition, Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with valid registration from the State Pharmacy Council or the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment will be a mandatory requirement.
Notes:
- Education Boards (for 10+2 or equivalent) recognised by the Central, State, and UT shall only be permitted.
- Exact aggregate percentage of marks before decimal as written in the marks sheet of 10+2/ Intermediate/ Equivalent/ Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy OR calculated as per the rules of concerned Education Board shall only be considered (For example 49.99% should be taken as 49% and not to be rounded off to 50%)
Age Limit:ย
- Medical Assistant trade (For candidates with 10+2). The candidate should be unmarried and born between 01 January 2006 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive).
- Medical Assistant trade (For candidates with Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy). Unmarried candidate should be born between 01 January 2003 and 01 January 2008 (both dates inclusive). Married candidate should be born between 01 January 2003 and 01 January 2006 (both dates inclusive).
- In case, a candidate clear all the stages of the Selection Procedure, then the upper age limit as on date of enrolment should be 21 years for candidates with 10+2/ Intermediate/ Equivalent including vocational course and 24 Years for candidates holding Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy.
Salary:ย
- During training, a stipend of โน14,600/- per month shall be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Military Service Pay (MSP) is โน26,900/- per month. In addition, dearness allowances (as applicable) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual
Selection Process of IAF Recruitment:
Phase โ I:
Online Test:
- Online test will be objective type and questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English paper. Candidates are to bring one blue/ black pen and original AADHAAR card along with them for Phase โ I testing. Details of the test are as follows:-
- Duration of online test will be 45 minutes and shall comprise English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
- Marking Pattern for Online Test (Objective).
- One mark for every correct answer.
- Nil (0) mark for un-attempted question.
- 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer
- Eligible candidates will be sent admit cards for Phase โ I of testing on their registered e-mail IDs between 48-72 Hr prior to the examination.
- Candidates are required to download the admit card, take a colour printout and carry the same to the examination centre
Phase โ II:
- Soon after the declaration of the result of Phase-I (Online) Test, a cut off will be applied on the normalised marks scored by the candidates in the Phase-I Test if normalisation is applied and SHORTLISTED candidates will be sent a new Admit Card on their registered e-mail IDs for Phase-II test at a designated ASC
