All India Institute Of Medical Science (AIIMS), Gorakhpur, invites applications from Indian citizens/other citizens as permissible under the applicable Act/Rules for the faculty posts on a direct recruitment basis under SRESTA, which are Professor/Additional Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Various Departments like Anaesthesia, Biochemistry, Cardiology, Dermatology, ENT, Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Gastroenterology, General Medicine, General Surgery, Hospital Administration, Microbiology, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Nuclear Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Pathology, Physiology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, Radiology, Radiotherapy, Transfusion Medicine and Blood Bank, Trauma and Emergency Medicine, Urology in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh).

Professor:

Essential Qualifications: (Medical Candidates)

  • A medical Qualification included in the I or II schedules or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in section 13 (3) of the Act.)
  • A recognized postgraduate qualification, e.g., MD/MS or recognized qualification, is equivalent to the respective discipline/subject.        [AND/OR]
  • M.Ch. for surgical Super speciality and D.M. for Medical Super speciality (2 years, three years, or five-year recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent to it.

Experience:

  • Fourteen years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D. /M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent to it.   [or]
  • Twelve years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institute in speciality after obtaining the Degree of M.Ch./D.M. (2 years or five years course recognized after MBBS) in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent to it.   [or]
  • Eleven years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in speciality for the candidates possessing three years of the recognized degree of D.M/M. Ch in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent to it.

Essential Qualifications: (Non-Medical Candidates)

  • Postgraduate qualification, e.g., Master’s degree in the discipline.
  • A Doctorate from a recognized University in a concerned discipline.

Experience:

  • Fourteen years of teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the Doctorate.

Additional Professor:

Pay scale Details:

For recruitment under direct recruitment

  • Professor: Entry Level Pay Matrix 14-A (Basic 1,68,900) and all usual allowance (Plus NPA for medically qualified candidates only)
  • Additional Professor: Entry Level Pay Matrix 13-A2+(Basic 1,48,200) and all usual allowance (Plus NPA for medically qualified candidates only)
  • Associate Professor: Entry Level Pay Matrix 13-A1+(Basic 1,38,300) and all usual allowance (Plus NPA for medically qualified candidates only)
  • Assistant Professor: Entry Level Pay Matrix 12 (Basic 1,01,500) and all usual allowance (Plus NPA for medically qualified candidates only). After three years, Assistant Professors will move to level 13 (Basic 1,23,100) of the Pay Matrix.

For contract basis under SRESTA:

  • Professor Rs. 2,20,000/-

Selection Process for AIIMS Gorakhpur Careers:

  • The selection process will be based on interviews.
  • Based on the candidate’s details, the Screening Committee may short-list candidates for an interview.
