NBPGR Recruitment 2024: ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR) has announced notification for the Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/Field Worker/ Scientific Administrative Assistant/Young Professional posts. There are three vacancies available for these posts. Candidates with B.Sc/M.Sc qualifications are eligible to apply for these positions. NBPGR Vacancy 2024 Notification:
ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR) invites applications from eligible candidates to attend the walk-in interview for the temporary post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/Field worker/ Scientific Administrative Assistant/Young Professional to work on a project. The age limit for these posts is between 21 – 50 years. The selected candidates will be given Rs. 18,000 – 35,000/- per month. The selection process will be based on the candidate’s walk-in interview performance. Educational Qualifications:
Young Professional:
- Graduation degree in BSc Agriculture/ BSc (with zoology, botany, and chemistry)/ Zoology/ Plant Protection/Life sciences from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Desirable Qualification: Masters in Zoology with specialization in Entomology/ Agricultural Entomology and or having experience in insect rearing and analyses of biological data/ evaluation of germplasm for biotic stresses along with adequate knowledge of Entomological techniques
Upper Age limit: 21 – 45 years
Age Relaxation: With relaxation as per GoI rules, 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, and 5 years for women
Salary: Rs. 30,000/- consolidated

Selection Process for NBPGR Jobs:
- The selection process will be based on an Interview
- At least five applicants shall be shortlisted based on their qualifying academic qualifications as per the assessment criteria.
- The shortlisted candidates will be called to appear in the interview.
- After screening the applications, the eligible candidates will be informed of further details regarding the interview by email followed by over the phone.
- Original documents of the candidates appearing to interview in person will be verified on the interview date and for the candidates appearing online interview will be verified at a later stage.
- The selection will be based on the weightage of marks in educational qualifications, experience in the relevant field, and performance in the interview

Senior Research Fellow (SRF):
- Post Graduate Degree in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Basic Science or Graduate/ Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
- Scholars selected through the National Eligibility TestCSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
- The Selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.
- Experience: 2 years of Research experience in the relevant field
- Duration: The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
