Detailed Eligibility – NIIST Careers:
Educational Qualification:
Project Associate-I: M.Sc in Chemistry from a recognised university or equivalent.
Upper Age Limit (As on 08 July 2025): 35 years
Age Relaxation: Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped and female candidates as per GOI/CSIR Rules.
Salary Details:
- Project Associate-I (Post Code – CSTD-2):
- Rs. 31,000/- + 20% HRA for those who have qualified CSIRUGC / ICAR /ICMR NET incl. lectureship / assistant professorship OR GATE qualified. OR those who have qualified National Level Examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and / or their agencies/ Institutions.
- Rs. 25,000/- + 20% HRA for others who do not fulfil the
above.
- Project Associate-I (Post Code – CSTD-3): Rs. 25,000/- + 20% HRA

Selection Process of NIIST Careers:
- The selection process will be based on interviews.
