WR Western Railways: Western Railway is one of the 17 Railway Zone by Indian Railways. The major railway routes of Indian Railways which come under Western Railways, are Mumbai Central – Ratlam, Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad and Palanpur – Ahmedabad. It is divided into six operating divisions: Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Ratlam, and Mumbai. Vadodara railway station, being the junction point for the Ahmedabad – Mumbai route and the Mumbai – Ratlam route towards New Delhi, is the busiest junction Station in Western Railways and one of the busiest junctions of Indian Railways too, while Ahmedabad Division earns the highest revenue followed by Mumbai Division and Vadodara Division.

Educational Qualification for RRC Western Railway Recruitment:
Essential Minimum Prescribed Qualification:
- Candidates should Pass 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for NTPC categories.
- 50% marks are not insisted upon in the case of SC/ST/ Ex. Servicemen / Persons With Disabilities (PwBD) candidates and in case of candidates who possess qualifications higher than the essential minimum prescribed qualification.
Note: Persons if appointed to the category of Clerk-cum-Typist should acquire Typing proficiency of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi within a period of two years from the date of appointment and till such time their appointments to this category will be provisional.
Professional Qualification for RRC Western Railway Recruitment:
- Female Dancer: Degree/Diploma – Certificate in classical dance from a recognized institute.
- Female Singer: Degree/Diploma – Certificate in Vocal music (Classical / Light) from a recognized institute.
Desirable:
- Valid Certificate showing experience in the field and performance given on AIR / Doordarshan etc.
- Valid Certificate showing Prizes won in competitions held at the National Level by the Concerned Academy/recognized by the Government.
Age Limit ( As on 1 January 2024 ): 18 – 30 years

Selection Process for WR Railway Recruitment:
The selection will be based on a Written/Computer Test (CBT), Practical Demonstration/Document Verification of 100 Marks.
- For Written Test/Computer Based Test (CBT): 50 Marks
- Talent Practical Demonstration: 35 Marks
- Confirmation of Talent by testimonials/certificates/awards: 15 Marks
- Minimum percentage of marks to qualify in the Written Test various categories: UR 40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%. ST 25%.
Application Fees:
- Rs. 500/-, with a provision of refunding Rs 400/- to those who are found eligible as per notification and actually appeared in the Trial after deducting bank charges.
- For candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Persons with Disability/ Women/Minorities and Economic Backward Class – Rs. 250/- with a provision of refunding the same to those who are found eligible as per notification and actually appeared in the Trial, after deducting bank charges.
