About WR Western Railways: Western Railway is one of the 17 Railway Zone by Indian Railways.The major railway routes of Indian Railways which come under Western Railways are: Mumbai Central – Ratlam, Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad and Palanpur – Ahmedabad. It is divided into six operating divisions: Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Ratlam and Mumbai. Vadodara railway station, being the junction point for the Ahmedabad – Mumbai route and the Mumbai – Ratlam route towards New Delhi, is the busiest junction Station in Western Railways and one of the busiest junctions of Indian Railways too, while Ahmedabad Division earns highest revenue followed by Mumbai Division and Vadodara Division.

Age limit(As on 24.10.2017): 15 to 24years (Relaxation as per government policy)
Training & Stipend: Training will be arranged in accordance with the standards and syllabus prescribed by the Central Apprenticeship Council. The selected candidates will be paid stipend during apprenticeship at the prescribed rates as per extant instructions.
Training Period: 1 year (For Mech(Diesle) – 2 Years)
Western Railway Recruitment 2017 Selection Process:
Selection of the eligible candidates for imparting training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 will be based on the merit list which would be prepared taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both matriculation (With minimum 50% (aggregate) marks and ITI examination giving equal weight age to both. There will be no written test or viva.
