About Tripura Public Service Commission:
The provision for the constitution of the Public Service Commission was first incorporated under Article 96C of the Government of India Act,1919. After that, in 1923, the ‘Lee Commission’ was constituted to formulate the principles/terms and conditions of the Public Service Commission. Subsequently, as per the ‘Lee Commission’ recommendations, the Federal Public Service Commission was established in India for the first time on 1st October 1926. Lee Commission also recommended establishing the Provincial Public Service Commission’s statehood on 21st January 1972. The Tripura Public Service Commission was established on 30th October 1972, under Article 315 of the Constitution of India. Sri G.P. Bagchi was the first Chairman, and Sri I. K. Roy was the first Tripura Public Service Commission member. The Commission is located at the old Assembly House of Tripura, at Akhaura Road, Agartala.

Selection Process for TPSC Careers:
- The selection process will be based on written examinations and interviews.
Written Examination:
- Duration of the written examination will be 2(two) hours:
- The Recruitment process will comprise two successive stages viz.
- Written Examination (General Study) of 85 marks (MCQ type),
- Interview/Personality test for 15 marks.
- The candidates who will be found qualified in the Written examination will be called to appear in the Interview/Personally Test.
Interview:
- The candidates are to be called for an interview as per the merit list prepared from written examination in the ratio of 1:5 for each part.
- The interview cum personality test shall be to assess the personal qualities of a candidate e.g. his/her intellectual ability, social traits, interest in current affairs,the critical power of judgment, variety and depth of interest, the ability for leadership moral integrity etc.
- A merit list will be prepared as per marks obtained by the candidates in the Category.
- The final selection will be made in order of merit and a merit list will be prepared by adding the marks obtained in the written examination and Interview.
Note: The Examination venue shall be closed 10 minutes before the Scheduled Commencement of Examination.

- 1st Professional Examination- 2.5marks (Passed in First attempt)

- Full marks will be awarded to those who pass all professional exams in 1st (first) attempt.

Publications: Total Score- 10 marks
- Research publication/case report in international & national journals Approved by NMC @ 04 marks and 03 marks respectively (Total marks 20).
- Publication must comprise the latest NMC/MCI-approved indexed Journal.
- No marks will be added for Non-indexed journals or publications that do not include the latest NMC/MCL guidelines for publication in the journal.
- Research Paper/Case Report must be Polished during the Super Specialty Study period & post-Super Specialty period.
- The candidate must be the publications’ first, second, or Corresponding author; otherwise, the marks of publications will not be added.
Post Doctoral Fellowship of the concerned subject after Super Specialty– 10 marks
Gold Medal in any stage of Medical Qualification – 5 marks
Service Experience- 5 Marks: beyond the minimum eligibility criteria as per TEQ regulation of NMC, 2022 – total 5 marks @ 2.5 marks per year with a maximum mark of 5 for experience in related Super, Specialty subject.
Interview: 10 marks
Total Score= 10+25+25+10+10+5+5 +10= 100
